Created attachment 1091 [details] Tav's modification on perspective I got a message from Tav, that perspective and perspective matrix is poorly specified and misses examples. He edited this section and created some examples as well as graphics for demonstrations. I like the new specification text as well as the graphics. I hope Simon, Ed or Ariyeh can review the changes and land them if they are fine with them too. I don't feel to comfortable for landing 3D stuff.
Can you supply a patch rather than the whole file please?

There are a couple of editorial issues with the diff, like not using <code> properly. "Isn't this missing the scaling factor d/(d-Z)" is basically bug 15605.

Lets talk about the content first, than I upload a fixed version. Like I said, I am not as familiar with perspective as you.
Other than what I said, the changes look fine at a glance -- it's mostly just adding some diagrams, which are helpful. I'm indifferent about the added matrix; I think we could do without it, but if he thinks it's helpful I'm okay with it. I'd leave out the added issue, or reword it to link to bug 15605.
