s/margin collapsing/certain margin collapsing behaviour/
since the interaction of clearance with margin collapsing is more complex than the phrase implies.


9.5.2 ('clear') says:

  # If this hypothetical position of the element's top border edge
  # is not past the relevant floats, then clearance is introduced,
  # and margins collapse according to the rules in 8.3.1.

s/margins collapse/margins collapse anew/
since margins collapsed in the calculation of the hypothetical position, albeit under different (temporary) conditions
