Reported by Peter Moulder 10.5 ('height'): # <percentage> # [...] computes to [...] 10.7 ('min-height', 'max-height'): # <percentage> # [...] is treated as [...] Such phrases should be replaced with more explicit ones, such as "The computed value is", etc. Conversation begins: Bug description: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2011Sep/0008.html Bug description: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2011Sep/0011.html
Another example, reported by Anton Prowse The last sentence of 9.3.1 (Choosing a positioning scheme: 'position' property) is: # User agents may treat position as 'static' on the root element. What does this actually mean? That the used value is 'static'? (Also, this information could ideally be repeated in 9.7 (Relationships between 'display', 'position', and 'float').) "computes to" isn't vague at all. It means exactly what it says - it's defining the computed value. If it's used in any other manner, it's an error and should be reported as such.
