Using the subscript tag returns an error: end tag for element "SUP" which is not open If you dont use the </sup> then the remainder of the line is also subscripted. This is not the kind of a bug it looks like. The construct </SUP> appears inside a SCRIPT element, where end tags are disallowed under HTML 4.01; ref. http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/types.html#type-cdata However, unless I misread the specs, </SUP> should terminate the SCRIPT element (in an invalid way, but still), and therefore I wonder why the </SCRIPT> tag is not reported as homeless.
