Meeting minutes

TF reports

elianaP: phase1 and deliverables -> no updates
… core, sparql, and node-expr: any updates?

HolgerK: there is a PR I want to talk about
… with this PR you would be able to say that you're equal to a path expression

<HolgerK> w3c/data-shapes#760

HolgerK: I've already implemented this and written test cases and havent seen any problems
… the second one is about the property sh: intent we talked about the last time
… I received the feedback from bergos to split this into two properties instead
… there is now one property to capture additional constraints in pure text form
… with the idea being that one could "draft" and write constraints also as a non-SHACL expert

<elianaP> w3c/data-shapes#726

HolgerK: and those can then eventually be transformed into SHACL
… the other property is similar to what SKILL.md files are used for in claude

<YoucTagh> https://github.com/w3c/data-shapes/blob/agenda/admin/profiling-tf/meeting-2026-02-05.md

profile TF

ajnelson-nist: what I can recall is -> nick had a request for me to post something about profiling of data
… explaining the documents purpose a bit better
… PR 754
… also putting all the namespaces of SHACL into the overview document

YoucTagh: also about the timeline: because that was also discussed
… version complete by the end of march
… abstract of the profiling document is now also in line with the one from the other TFs

AndyS: there are multiple directories.. which profiling one are you working in? and can you clean up the other one?
… just wanted to also check whether you've discussed Rules as well?

<ajnelson-nist> PR 754 was a point of discussion in the TF call. Issue 764 was posted in response to Nick asking the group for use cases.

YoucTagh: haven't talked about them in detail yet.

mgberg: is it Issue 643?

<AndyS> w3c/data-shapes#643

edmond: since last week I've added a github workflow to check the shapes of widgets
… I'm also planning to add a RDF turtle serializer (outputting deterministic turtle)
… a serializer of rdflib
… in the last meeting we werent able to discuss the timeline, but were primarily discussion widgets
… widget scoring algo basically, but it's a more generic matcher

AndyS: no particular comments; next meeting this week on wednesday.
… aren't in the position to have a timeline yet
… but soon™

elianaP: any updates on compact syntax?
… does anyone know about anything on that front?

AndyS: nick gave an update last week and it sounded like it's not going ahead

elianaP: there is no definitive decision, but it seems to be leaning that way

open PRs

elianaP: any updates on those open PRs from 2025? ajnelson-nist, bergos?

bergos: update on the open branches -> I wasn't able to delete them
… the ones with a green hook should be deletable as their PR was merged

YoucTagh: there are some branches that I've created but whose PRs were already merged.. so I can try to delete those myself

elianaP: ok thx! I think that concludes the agenda..
… see you next week! Rules TF has a meeting on the 11th, UI TF on the 10th
