FYI, the current WCAG 3 draft is using "trigger warning" to describe flashing content. I have flagged this issue already with the WCAG 3 editors: https://

We added a tab to capture possible exceptions. Will decide later how many exceptions to publish and in what format.
Key considerations

Lisa suggested a personalization example of a user wanting to use Windows 98.
Charli asked about other personalization examples, such as needing even greater color contrast.
Charli: How would a development team recreate Windows 98 to do everything that their new version does?
Lisa: You can enable personalization by using ADAPT semantics. It could be as little as replacing the iconography.
Lisa: It's a complicated topic.
Lisa: What was said in the draft meant entirely different things to the two of us.
Lisa: The basis of the ADAPT task force is that different icons mean different things to different people.
Lisa: What icons are the best to use? What is familiar to the user for the search icon, for the help icon, for the trash/dust bin icon?
Lisa: The hamburger menu is a great example of something that means nothing to users who aren't already familiar with it.
Lisa: We need to clarity what we mean heree.
Rashmi: We need language that developers should support personalization and customization.
Rashmi: Examples such as users can apply different style sheets. We should provide a conducive environment.
Lisa: This is also a bigger ask until the APA gets its ADAPT personalization guidance out.
<Rashmi> Julie, can we talk about my action item as next item on the agenda
<Rashmi> +1 Julie
We decided to shorten the personalization section and create a tab to help us build out a future section on this topic.
Charli had no objections
How to test
Link to "How to test": https://
Lisa: The testing section needs to be updated to reflect the changes in the "What to do" section.
Any volunteers to rework the testing section?
Lisa: It needs a checklist.
Charli: I would like to help with this, but I can't commit.
Lisa: I can't get to this until after Tuesday.
It would be great if Lisa could work on this testing section next week.
