Meeting minutes

Sccribe: Daniel

Currently open issues

Second batch milestone

zak: We have identified some more tables we could add

Daniel: Next target 3rd Dec but happy to review before
… Last meeting outcome was for the PDF-AAM team to open a PR with second batch

https://github.com/w3c/pdf-aam/milestone/2

github: w3c/pdf-aam#11

Daniel: Zak will remove these reference

Zak: I'd rather remove and then add it back

Cleanup tasks

github: w3c/pdf-aam#17

Daniel: Privacy and security are top-level sections

Zak: I've got three todos left on this one
… 2 and 3 are no longer applicable

Important terms

github: w3c/pdf-aam#12

Zak: This can be closed, it's in there already
… I just need to update it

Explanation on namespaces

github: w3c/pdf-aam#21

Zak: This is already done in the branch attached to that issue

ak: Not sure if we should open it up now
… UA1 and UA2 differences may be daunting for now
… Or we only need to enhance our tables
… If we are dealing with these two at the same time I'll have to update the scripts
… If yes, we should spawn a couple sub issues

Paul: You need addditional info in your tables
… This is really PDF1 versus PDF2
… You have to do both completely anyway
… Unless you run into an acctual situation where there are no differences

Zak: We have tags like footnote endnote

Paul: Add a colun for the namespace

Zak: that type of stuff needs to be explained in this section that tells how these are going to be referenced in this table

Paul: If it's not PDF2 then it's PDF1

William: Part might be

Paul: For FENote
… Are there any tags that behave differently?

William: That's why i was wondering if we should wait until we come to this situation

Duff: document tag is an exxample

Paul: We have it in our first export

Zak: But the API is the same

Zak: From a pdf composer standpoint that's a clear difference. From the AAM mappings that hasn't changed from PDF1 to 2

Duff: list element in 2 can be clock or inline

Zak: But when you encounter it it's going to be handled the same way

Duff: Not sure

Zak: We are not writing this based on AT behaviours

William: We should specify what to do

Duff: There are technical differences that requree examination

[Zak shows current tables]

Zak: Is this realistically doable before 3rd December?

Paul: I think we should.

Zak: Can I assign to you Paul?

Paul: Yes

Alphabetizing

github: https://github.com/w3c/pdf-aam/issues/22/

Zak: You could add it to the milestone and I'll take care
