I can scribe

Chuck: welcome and introductions, anyone who is new to group or new role?

Nicholas: UX researcher at Google

Venkat: engineer who want to be involved with standards

Chuck: First meeting of every month, start the call 30 minutes early - brief introduction and presentation regarding the working group and how we operate.

<Chuck> https://github.com/w3c/silver/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20state%3Aopen%20label%3A%22survey%20%3A%20ready%20for%22

Chuck: Going through another round of closing Silver issues - chairs have reviewed and determined they can be closed - you can plus 1 if you agree, if you want to review - review and put in a note and they can be moved into WCAG 3 repository.

Chuck: As a reminder - editors will be meeting intensely - we are not going to have the working group call next - we will resume the week after - the first one of the month. Next month will not occur.

Chuck: Any new topics for future topics to inform future agendas?

Rachael: Overview meeting will be the 7th.

Bruce: will subgroups be meeting next week?

Rachael: would recommend that subgroups not meet - but chairs have not talked about it.

<bbailey> inputs subgroup will not be meeting on the 30th then !!

Gregg: unaidable

Kevin: will cancel meting for next week

<Rachael> Wohoo! Congratulations!

Chuck: 2 topics to discuss for WCAG 2. First one - a moment of celebration - 500 issues complete, addressed and closed.

Chuck: While we are working on WCAG 3- there is a group who has been working on resolving WCAG 2 backlog of issues - thank you to those who have lead and participating and reviewing that effort. WCAG 2 is alive and well and thriving. Comments welcome.

<Rachael> Wow. Thank you all.

<alastairc> Congrats to Mike, Bruce (co-facilitators), Francis, Patrick, and everyone involved.

MikeG: One of the co-facilitators with Bruce - meeting for less than 2 years - that is what we have closed in that time - milestone about to have more issues closed then that we have open. Issues keep on coming. If folks are interested - next items are about WCAG 2 - we have info on how to join on email we send out.

Steve: Have been audience member for some of the meeting - want to congratulate on the work they hvae done.

<kirkwood> Well done!

Gregg: What are the changes for 2.2?

<Chuck> ack +

<Zakim> bbailye, you wanted to react to +

MikeG: Send out bi-weekly email to the working group with listed changes they are reviewing. We let group know we have reviewed and inside the email division of changes - section for normative changes - most are not - most are minor or substantive editorial on non-normative guidance - although we can do errata on normative guidance. As long as

don't get into a situation where someone things we are changing the interpretation of the requirement. If that does happen we hold that for the next release. We can't add new - a new criterion. Our focus is tweaking requirements rather than any net new ones.

<alastairc> GreggVan - anything normative is going through the CFC process. The 500 is everything, including a few errata that have come to the AG separately, but it is mostly informative docs.

MikeG: The email lists the editorial and substantive and bug fixes or backend fixes and housecleaning stuff. The last is where we have a response only category.

<Zakim> bbailey, you wanted to react to bbailye

MikeG: Email contains closed issues and how to join instructions.

<Francis_Storr> I'll echo SteveF's comments from a few minutes ago - 500 issues is a big achievement and the Friday taskforce meeting is definitely a good one.

<mbgower> https://github.com/orgs/w3c/projects/56/views/1

MikeG: We don't review issue by issue here - a lot of the ones in this list are bug fixes and if people find issues with those let us know- these are informative - the ones we are asking folks to look at is 10 issues. There is also a project board link.

<bbailey> Project board requires W3C login and linked GitHub account

MikeG: Column will indicate sent for WG approval.

Chuck: Any additional questions?
