Meeting minutes

Task Force reports

<simonstey> w3c/data-shapes#513 the PR Holger was talking about

nicholascar: Profiling TF- need to narrow down what is in scope for profiling over the next couple weeks

Vote on short URIs for publishing phase 2 docs

<TallTed> elianaP, caribou, nicholascar -- w3c calendar thinks we have only 3 TFs (https://www.w3.org/groups/wg/data-shapes/task-forces/), but agenda suggests we have 7 (https://github.com/w3c/data-shapes/blob/agenda/admin/agenda-2025-09-08.md). Can we get these aligned, and make it plain how to join each TF?

<nicholascar> I have added the suggested short URIs to the agenda: https://github.com/w3c/data-shapes/blob/agenda/admin/agenda-2025-09-08.md

Oggy: New member, experience with recursion in SHACL and SHEX

<Oggy> Hi All

elianaP: Documents will include 1.2 in URL

nicholascar: URLs without version number will resolve to the new specification as well

AndyS: Two URLs per document: shacl12-name (this version) and shacl-name (current)

elianaP: Make decision about short URIs based on the mailing list

Check in with Editors for Core & SPARQL to go to Horizontal Review

nicholascar: Willing to work on editoral work necessary
… Need short URIs,
… Need to agree on whether to go to horizontal review
… need explainer
… may need some more information on what is new in this revision and why these changes are made

<ajnelson-nist> Accessibility might be able to get some words from the UI document.

AndyS: Should be able to reference existing what's new sections, note that we're picking up RDF 1.2

<fsasaki> +1

caribou: Information about new features is to point out those new features to reviewers
… Tickets will be opened for each group, plus one should be opened in our repo with pointers to those other tickets

ajnelson-nist: UI group will have comments about accessibility

Reminder: add new document CSS/JS to "common"

Diagnostics

Succeeded: s|minutes for 2025-09-01 (https://www.w3.org/2025/09/01-data-shapes-minutes.html) look rather skimpy. Did something go wrong with TF meeting overwriting WG logs somehow? both Mon & Tues meetings start at midnight GMT, which can cause trouble with some automatic bot actions||
