Meeting minutes
Update on my side: I've been working on gathering data on unicode codepoint frequencies across the web. I've got initial data now but need to get permissions to release it publicly. That might take a bit.
<ChrisL> I reviewed the changes, they are fine
Updates to the spec since last meeting: couple of PRs to remove "should" keyword from non-normative sections to avoid confusion.
conformance testing.
Vlad: thanks Scott for adding conformance sppans
Vlad: looks like you can hover over them, but not really well identified otherwise.
Vlad: for woff2 we had 4 categories each span was identified with.
Vlad: so when you hovered it'd clearly identified.
<ChrisL> see w3c/
Garret: I think we want to have just client and encoder for this spec.
Agreement that this sounds good.
Garret: Scott has agreed to develop an initial prototype of a client conformance test
Vlad: should we have a discussion ahead of time about a test plan for each test?
Garret: yes that makes sense, for now Scott's just developing a prototype to prove out the mechanism for testing. We should have those discussions in parallel.
<ChrisL> I fixed the stylesheet
Garret: my suggestion is we have the test plan document in the client test repo and link from the test files to it. I'll set up a skeleton test plan.
<Vlad> Hereis the link to test related descriptions for both woff and woff2 specs: https://
Chris: fixed the stylesheet PR, will merge now.
Garret: I can also do a first pass for the straightforward tests.
Vlad: what date for the next meeting?
Vlad: sept 9th or 16th
Garret: let's do 16th
Skef: may be starting work soon on some of the presegmenting stuff I've talked about previously.
Skef: for the frequency data it might also be nice to know about languages that occur together.
Garret: I may be able to get that data, let me look into it.
