Meeting minutes

Previous minutes

<kaz> May-14

Cristiano: Are minutes ok?
… no issues/concerns
… minutes are approved

PRs and Issues

<kaz> PR 561 - Extended return type of invokeAction()

Cristiano: in previous PRs we extended return type of invokeAction

<kaz> Issue 555 - Extended return type of invokeAction()

Cristiano: Daniel published new version of TypeScript API

<kaz> PR 576 - increase scripting version to SNAPSHOT.31

Cristiano: node-wot integrated the API change already

Publication Schedule

Cristiano: Let's talk about timeline and content

Kaz: GH repo for whole WG there is WG schedule under planning

<kaz> wg-schedule.md

Kaz: we need to think by the end of current charter what will be published
… and what after charter ... in new charter

Cristiano: End of November?

Kaz: Scripting API is Note
… we should think about when to publish a new note
… end of charter is October 2

Cristiano: I think we can publish the current version of the Scripting API
… for the content there is the PR from Daniel

Daniel: Yes, and some other minor improvements
… we can create an HTML diff

Cristiano: couple of updates

Kaz: We might want to add items in "Changes" section

Cristiano: We updated examples..
… changed wording from fetching to request

Kaz: Given it is a group note we can publish document every few months

Cristiano: Since the charter ends I think it is a good time to publish a new version
… should we fix more issues before publishing ?
… I would like to have 2 issues I would like to fix if we make in time

Kaz: I suggest to mark those mentioned issues "before publication"

Cristiano: Good point!
… we can fix one misalignment
… issue w3c/wot-scripting-api#560
… and also the other one

w3c/wot-scripting-api#559

Cristiano: Maybe one more, issue #548, w3c/wot-scripting-api#548
… another candidate might be w3c/wot-scripting-api#539
… I think it is a bugfix

Daniel: We might run into complexity

Cristiano: Right, maybe there are corner cases
… but let's put it on road map... time wil show whether we manage to tackle it

Daniel: What about the issue of profile support
… since profile gets pubslihed soon also
w3c/wot-scripting-api#531
… Profile fully defines data exchange.. not sure if we can handle it properly

Cristiano: Added it to our "candidate" list

Cristiano: There is an issue about improving section 5
… Zoltan raised this issue
w3c/wot-scripting-api#530

Cristiano: Don't remember anymore what Zoltan wants us to improve
… let's add the "candidate" label and ping Zoltan
… I think we cannot handle more issues in this timeframe

Upcoming Scripting calls

Cristiano: next is planned August 6

Daniel: For me August 6 and 20 are problematic

Cristiano: For me also
… suggest to cancel those 2 calls

Cristiano: Any other topic to discuss?

Kaz: We should think about what kind of description should be inlcluded in the next charter
… could be the same also

Cristiano: Okay, will put it on Agenda for next time
