Lionel_Wolberger: Should we propose a breakout group for TPAC 2025?
Janina: We should clarify the goals
Jason: The more open inquisitive, intelligent discussion the better. We would need to capture it
Janina: How would we respond to negative feedback?
Jason: Where do we store this feedback
… this technology has been around for 20 years. We are ready to educate.
Lionel_Wolberger: Auditors today are often asked to audit a site with a post-source remediation solution in place
Jason: That post-source solution is often silent. There are trade-offs to any approach
Janina: If you do remediation right, no one cares how you get it done
Jason: My target audience is for the end user, and the website manager
Chris: End users would want to understand post-source, that one person's accessibility settings are hard to communicate with another end-user
Janina: WCAG claims to be technology agnostic. If it is, then post-source is just a form of technology
… a breakout session should be done as long as we have clear goals
Lionel_Wolberger: We could pull up the requests and conversation at the original kick-off Breakout, then report how we dealt with that
Janina: +1
Chris: The title and description should be defined
Edits and next steps
Janina: Edits are not in place; I need a meeting with Mike when I return to my office
Janina: Remaining steps are (1) all the places with missing bla bla, I sent out the list of ~17 items
Jason: They look good to me
Lionel_Wolberger: TO BE EDITED: 3.5.3 Shadow and Outline Effects, the WCAG styling extends to the following paragraph
… these needs editing: 5.4.4, 6.5
Preliminary announcement
Chris: An announcement that publication is coming will likely prepare audiences to get involved
