Meeting minutes
Action: Make switch more like a group
https://
Steven: If you are happy, I'll close this
Action: Steven to update properties on controls
https://
Alain: OK with the changes, but a question with label etc.
… if it is on the control as well as in the model.
Steven: Combination is not allowed.
Alain: It would be better for the control to override the model
… generic in the model, but specific for a particular control.
Steven: Yes, Erik, which do you think?
Erik: In HTML you have an input with a label, even more than one, but it is possible to have a label with arria-labelled-by, and I think youi can have multiple labels for screen readers
… ... you would need a way to decide which is displayed when.
Steven: Slightly different issue. Alain would like to have a label binding, but with the control overriding it.
Erik: I'm tempted to allow an override rather than rejecting
ACTION: Steven to suggest how to override label etc bindings
Controls that read simpleContent instance data
https://
Steven: Two questions
Erik: The second question related to simple content with comments or something as well, and how that works
Erik: upload writes to its reference
Steven: You are right
Steven: My question is really, in places where we read, can we not just concatenate all text nodes as a generalisation (as is done by output now, de facto, though strictly disallowed by the spec)?\
Erik: Does this also apply to input on a read-only node?
Steven: A different question, but we should address it as well.
Alain: output with a mediatype, for instance svg
… doesn't this mean that there is a default mediatype of text/plain\
… ?
… Output of html is a serialisation of html
… it is not complex content
Erik: Do we specifiy it in the the text? We store the serialised string of the html, not nested XML elements
… for SVG we don't say anything.
… Are you suggesting there is a case where wee read and write complex content?
Alain: Just SVG, but stored as text, but add the mediatype
Alain: The SVG would be stored as complex data
Steven: And you want output to work for that?
Alain: Yes.
Steven: We need more time to think about this use case; let's discuss next week.
ACTION: Steven MIPs and trigger
https://
Steven: I have use cases where validity should stop the trigger from working.
… so I would like us to consider how we would like trigger to react on properties in general.
… for relevance the trigger is not visible, readonly it is visible and not activatable. I would like validity to make it non activatable as well.
Steven: Would you be ok with that?
Both: Yes
ACTION: Steven to write text for validity on trigger
Alain: We need a way to submit nonvalid data as well
Steven: I'll bear that in mind
AOB
Steven: Next week OK, the week after regrets from me.
