RESOLUTION: Approve minutes from 2024-11-14

Meeting next week: Thanksgiving Day

ora: holiday in the us next week
… proposal is to cancel next weeks meeting
… propose to have a focused meeting in 2 weeks

Prioritization of next week's topics 3

ora: all agree, so next week's meeting is canceled
… looking for "easy topics" for next meeting to get some things off the list

AndyS: proposes #147

<gb> Issue 147 not found

<gkellogg> w3c/sparql-query#147

<gb> Issue 147 consider reintroducing property paths `{x,y}` syntax dropped in SPARQL 1.1 (by TallTed) [needs discussion] [spec:enhancement]

AndyS: will talk to pierre antoine about getting a label

ACTION: afs to work with pchampin to add labels for "defer-next-version" or similar.

<gb> Created action #137

<gtw> very late regrets; apologies, I got pulled into a critical meeting at the last minute.

ora: what about ill-typed literals?

ktk: we should get clearer about the different options, s that we can have a strawpoll
… will work on a proposal

AndyS: the load one, number ???load, maybe just a clarification under errata

ora: loading something that talks about named graphs

AndyS: re-mapping of names

ora: value-space literals - would like to get clarity on this

ANdyS: important issue, but for current or future publication?

ora: suggests to have the deferment-or-not discussion

gkellogg turtle 132

<gkellogg> We should discuss w3c/rdf-turtle#132 soon.

<gb> Issue 132 not found

<gkellogg> We should discuss w3c/rdf-star-wg#132 soon.

<gb> Issue 132 Turtle Grammar: Collections and blank node property lists in triple terms (by doerthe) [needs discussion]

james: ill-typed literals and rdf graphs with value spaced literals are closely related

they both have to do with value space of a literal

Review of open actions, available at 4

Review of pull requests, available at 5

ora: without pierre-antoine there's not much here for us to discuss

<pfps> +1 to merge in number 5

gkellogg: w3c/rdf-tests#152 should be good to go

<gb> Pull Request 152 add tests for rdf:JSON xsd:float and xsd:double (by pfps) [enhancement]

<gkellogg> w3c/rdf-concepts#117

<gb> /github.com/w3c/rdf-tests/pull/152 should be /w3c/rdf-concepts#117 should be//github.com/w3c/rdf-concepts/pull/117 -> Pull Request 117 Add requirements for the L2V mapping of xsd:float and xsd:double. (by gkellogg) [spec:enhancement]

pfps: pr #52 "Better HTML" is very hard to review

<gb> CLOSED Issue 52 Comment for rdf:PlainLiteral in the specs (by domel) [needs discussion]

pfps: probably better to merge, and then review

ora: agree with pfps's proposal, but who wants to do it?

ktk: will try to get a better diff tool to help with processing this PR

ora: PR # 152 rdf:JSON tests is not finished?

pfps: it has one glitch left

gkellogg: i fixed that

pfps: agrees with gkellogg

AndyS: have put in some more things today

pfps: suggests an issue to fix the manifest
… will create an issue for the vocabulary, but merge PR #152 already

<gb> Issue 152 not found

pfps: will work on PR #50

<gb> CLOSED Action 50 put in the repo the "source of truth" for labels [1] (on pchampin) due 13 Apr 2023

gkellogg: already consolidated some definitions into RDF Concepts doc

pfps: the outstanding HTML fix kinda blocks further work

<gkellogg> https://pr-preview.s3.amazonaws.com/w3c/rdf-semantics/52/e29d0aa...84888af.html

pfps: will review HTML PR first! it's non-trivial, but not too bad

Review of open actions, available at 4

Issue Triage, available at 6

gkellogg some tags need to be looked at
… some owe a response to external people, some have been marked as propose for closing for months now
… "pending" need work
… "notation 3" needs to go in another place, with other serializations, should go into Primer or WhatsNew
… it's not appropriate fr Turtle to reference N3 given that N3 has no formal standing

<gb> Issue 46 Why quoted triples, when we already have named graphs? (by lars-hellstrom) [wr:pending]

ora: w3c/rdf-concepts#46 (why quoted triples when we already have named graphs)

<gb> Issue 46 Proposal: rename errata-related labels in all repositories (by pchampin)

gkellogg: it's resolved because we have triple terms now, not quoted triples
… but chairs should answer this

ora: right, putting it on chairs list

<gb> Issue 6 Add Turtle, TriG, RDF/XML and SPARQL tests to better validate relative IRI resolution (by gkellogg) [enhancement] [SPARQL]

w3c/rdf-tests#6

<Zakim> AndyS, you wanted to suggest closing w3c/rdf-tests#6 which is marked "done" (and is done).

Any Other Business (AOB), time permitting

AndyS will close it, Ruben will be notified

ora: ISWC a poster forom Vienna, a policy representation using RDF-star, looked useful

<AndyS> https://users.ics.forth.gr/~fgeo/files/ISWC24Poster.pdf

ora: will try to have the author give a presentation

<enrico> https://users.ics.forth.gr/~fgeo/files/ISWC24Poster.pdf

<enrico> (the paper of the mentioned rdf-star work)

<enrico> (they won the best poster award at ISWC-24)

<ora> Ora's keynote talk at ISWC: https://www.lassila.org/publications/2024/lassila-iswc2024-keynote.pdf

AndyS your talk got positive reactions on LinkedIn and other places

AndyS: any update on the charter?

ktk: there will be an update, but not before next time, discussion is ongoing

<william_vw> +1 for TF meeting tomorrow

ora: happy thinksgiving to all who celebrate it, and see you after that
