Meeting minutes
<dmontalvo> - resolves aria-common #109 / aria#2288 remove/replace aria-wg-active.md and aria-wg-participants.md
<dmontalvo> - [dependent] automation and synonyms (via aria #2073)
Am I in the wrong zoom?
dmontalvo: are we ok with re-using the zoom?
jamesn: sounds ok.
pkra: +1
dmontalvo: I'll update the future invites. And set up the other week.
[new-ish] aria#2338 - PR on wiki archiving
pkra: this dropped off the radar.
w3c/
… could someone take a look at that?
… some items are unchecked. Feedback would be good.
jamesn: will take a look
spectranaut_: I like to keep the old TPAC and F2F planning docs in the wiki .
pkra: sounds good.
jamesn: yes, let's move those out of the PR.
pkra: will do.
… and ping you.
[ready?] aria #2312 / #2318 / PR #2321: PR naming/labelling convention
pkra: can we close this?
dmontalvo: I tested this on my fork. It worked well, incl. changing labels when editing PRs.
jamesn: let's close.
aria #2238 / PR #2288: Fix commit log for specs with monorepo
jamesn: right. Still mostly there. Except for aria because it doesn't have its own folder. I'll need to look into path resolution.
… but otherwise it pulls things out correctly.
[rahim] aria #2287: Add ReSpec aliasing clarity in README.me's "Editorial Documentation" section
pkra: rahim sent regrets. Moving on.
[peter] aria #2231: turn on automatic prettier formatting for ARIA spec
spectranaut_: about new meeting time. Scott had sent potential alternatives.
… would those work for others?
dmontalvo: Wed would work
jamesn: same.
pkra: +1
jamesn: let's propose Wed, 12pm Eastern.
spectranaut_: I'll write an email.
pkra: can we close w3c/
Should we discuss w3c/
… or next time?
jamesn: I'm leaning towards having something in aria proper.
… one audience is web authors so they can test that it works for them.
… AAM's are a bit removed from authors.
spectranaut_: makes sense.
pkra: we could pull things in from AAMs?
spectranaut_: but it's about AT features.
pkra: oh, right.
spectranaut_: seems fine in ARIA spec.
… problem is expressing support more granularly.
… e.g. role=button. there are several in AAMs (pressed etc). so in the section it'd be complicated.
pkra: it seems like authors really want something like caniuse or mdn. I don't see how ARIA can solve that.
jamesn: authors really need something to track what is fully working.
… comes down to notes we've discussed, e.g., for support of WIP.
pkra: there's a recent comment from aaron.
… suggesting a deep dive.
spectranaut_: let's revisit at next meeting.
