Meeting minutes
Announcements
Chuck: In conference last week. Not had opportunity for any big announcements today
… Any other announcements?
Standing update
shawn: Not much but need to follow up with Wilco on pending publications. LV TF still on the quiet
lisa: Nothing to add from me
jj: Meeting last week with new participants
… No meeting this week... waiting for IE applications to be approved
… Need access to Github
Chuck: You previously said you were light on participants. Sounds likes there is good participation
… Anything more we can do?
jj: We have 8 people in the TF with another 5-10 people made an IE application (I have been told)
… Having 5+ people each week would be a success
<Zakim> shawn, you wanted to note call for participation
shawn: We can do a call for participation if warranted
… Need to get the updated work statement more available to assist with that
maryjom: Still working on on creating content for next public draft
… Was targeting March but likely to be delayed
… Trying to nail down language on things
<Zakim> shawn, you wanted to note WCAG2ICT nad applying WCAG2.2 to mobile synergies
maryjom: Delay is maybe month, maybe two
shawn: ForJJ and MaryJo to keep in mind; there is overlap between WCAG2ICT and WCAG2 mobile materials.
… Would be good to keep aware of how these overlap and fit together
jj: Definitely be good to see how we can get inspired
… We are specifically thinking about how it applies to Andriod/iOS... possibly with specific guidance
Chuck: Sounds like there are specific technical approaches
… Biggest ask from WCAG2ICT to Mobile would be to make sure there is no conflicting guidance
Wilco: Wanted to make sure we touched on Work Statements today
lisa: To Shawns point, we did make a supplement to WCAG2.0 covering including cognitive disabilities
… Decision to what extent this would need to be included in other publications such as Mobile and WCAG2ICT
https://
mbgower: WCAG2X TF regular meetings. Looking at about 12 changes every two weeks
https://
… These are being flagged to AG regularly. Looks like it is going smoothly
… We are struggling to keep up with the number of issues being opened though
alastairc: Nothing to add
Wilco: ACT has feedback from AGWG on Rules Format 1.1
… CFC planned soon for draft of FPWD
… We think that this might be the definitive version
… We might be done!!!
… Working on update to Work Statement as well
… Just to mention that WCAG2 TF merge something that contradicted ACT rules.
… Need to work out how to avoid that
… ACT rules said to use colour value from pixels, Understanding says to use CSS value. Bit of an edge case but good to avoid inconsistencies
alastairc: Will need to look at this in non-text contrast as well
Wilco: Will be good to think how we avoid this happening in general
alastairc: If there is anything that has a Technique attached to it we could add an ACT label and flag this specifically?
Wilco: Might work
… As long as someone on ACT TF has check and agreed no problems that might work
<alastairc> Anything which includes an ACT label then gets CCed to ACT, or a person in ACT?
mbgower: We could have our own process in the Backlog group to check for anything that might be relevant
… Keen to avoid flagging everything with ACT which wouldn't necessaily help
Announcements
Work Statements
Chuck: Have been asking for updated Work Statements
… Would be good to do so by mid-February
… Where do we stand?
jj: Important for Mobile TF to shift focus
… Shared info with Kevin and Roy
… Hope to review next Monday
<Wilco> Won't cue, I already mentioned it. Ours is drafted, only a few small changes needed. We should have it ready soon
alastairc: WCAG2X TF we need to produce on
Chuck: WCAG2ICT statement should be sufficient
lisa: I think COGA is ok. We have increased the scope to include mental health
Wilco: Might be a couple of weeks to sort out the ACT work statement following some meetings with the community
AOB
jj: Is there any information on TPAC? Is everyone from here going to be going?
https://
mbgower: Proposed modules came up in 3.0
… Might be worth having someone to champion that work?
… Just flagging for thought
