Announcements

AC: press release survey is on the agenda. Do we want to pursue this?
... we have general agreement and can push it along.
... starting a requirement sub group.

<alastairc> https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35422/requirements_subgroup_23/

AC: We are starting a subgroup to address issues raised against the WCAG 3 requirements document. The goal of this subgroup is to refine the current requirements, not rewrite them wholesale. A future iteration of this subgroup will propose additions based on the conformance challenges document.
... please complete the survey is interested.

<Bri> subgroups meet for one hour or two?

AC: also we will start using the new WCAG3 process.

<Patrick_H_Lauke> (my internet connection is unstable, and zoom seems to have trouble recognising my microphone ... will try to fix the latter and come back in)

AC: first topic is eval criteria for conformance models.
... 2 weeks for discussion on this.
... The other topic is Publication of WCAG3

<Rachael> As a reminder, upcoming discussion topics with links are on the agendas page at https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Upcoming_agendas

<alastairc> https://github.com/w3c/wcag3/discussions/34

<alastairc> Publication approach: https://github.com/w3c/wcag3/discussions/33

AC: these are issues 34 and 33. Contribute if you have ideas.

Shadi: is 33 related to an earlier one? Issue 18

rm: they are somewhat related. This is more about hoe to brreak apart th pieces.

ac: Charter change. Everyone has to rejoin.
... invited experts may get an email.

bri: are we responding with the thumbs up etc?

ac: It is more about discussion now.

ben: I got the email from the group.
... I did that and it said that I was under review by the chairs.

<Jennie_Delisi> I had the same experience as Ben

<sarahhorton> "Your invited expert application is currently being reviewed by the chair(s) and team contact(s) following the rechartering of the group."

ben: we have a window for a few weeks.

rm: feel free to thumbs up on discussions.
... watching/ thumbs down and discuss

WCAG3 project plan

rm: project plan
... it is tentative. Want to make it clear where we are and where we are going.
... quarter plans for the next 2 years.

<Patrick_H_Lauke> https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/WCAG_3_Timeline

rm: not a complete list but a sublist.
... It is conversation that we are hoping to have.

ac: It is what we are aiming for.

dj: Is the lack of final publication is intentional?

rm: these are updates. No final date. Not within our current scope.

Post-TPAC subgroup work (Pointer Support, Prevent Harm, Keyboard Support)

ac: committed to date when we will publish final wcag 2
... subgroup work this week.

<alastairc> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oy5Guap5wnMFhp4OPhgGn1ihuHYmksstPqMHMrc_Krg/edit#gid=0

ac: we have plenty of research on Pointer Support. May want to rerwrite outcomes

rm: working through outcomes. will need another week

wendy: discussing tests.

ac: potential conflict with keyboard.
... may need something about user choice.

wendy: may have overlap.

ac: thanks everyone.
