janina: there's been a fair bit of followup with media interest group. The EU standards are moving forwards but failed to cover some areas. We expect a report from them we can review about accessibility gotchas
… RQTF agreed to put issues in the CAPTCHA document to help move it forward
… when we're done with the authoring side, we'll open it up for public comments

Paul: We are working on supporting semantic markup of timing, or pauses, as they are often significant for comedic effect

Paul: full pauses, empty pauses, in general silence can be highly significant, for emphasis or allowing processing
… another example is the case of a "hide and seek" countdown from ten to one, where the last three numbers are counted off at a much faster rate
