<matatk> ARIA meeting on Notifications: https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/wiki/Meetings/TPAC_2023#ARIA

matatk: ARIA has a proposal on SR-compatible notifications, feedback requested. Offline doc can be requested by matatk.
… Want to make sure that users beyond SR are accommodated (e.g. Coga).
… Think about use cases that are not covered.
… Discussion board on GitHub.

<matatk> CSS specs with accessibility considerations: https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/wiki/Meetings/TPAC_2023#CSS

matatk: Many W3C groups have just published work. So they are now looking at long-term plans.
… For CSS, please review the specs at https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/wiki/Meetings/TPAC_2023#CSS
… CSS folks know about accessibility quite well.
… At TPAC, we want to make sure we are on the same page.

A11y Review Comment Tracker - https://w3c.github.io/horizontal-issue-tracker/?repo=w3c/a11y-review

Should <dir> behave like a list element?

<Roy> - issue: whatwg/html#9296

Roy: Related to ARIA wg.

matatk: We had a previous discussion on this.

<matatk> Per our meta-discussion, we decided we don't need to do anything for this one: w3c/a11y-review#161

Consider allowing <hr> within list elements (ol, ul, menu)

<Roy> - issue: whatwg/html#9126

Roy: Also related to ARIA wg.

matatk: I have a comment on this.
… Coga was in favor of my comment.

<matatk> meta/tracking issue: w3c/a11y-review#158

matatk: I will post the comment resulting from our discussion.

matatk: ... Issue assigned to me.

<matatk> es

matatk: You have to concat the two messages to build the real URL.

matatk: There is a spec for providing well-known URLs
… with password

<matatk> Well-known URIs: w3c/adapt#231

matatk: Original purpose: Let your password manager update your password
… Can be used for a11y purposes as well.
… A user might not be able to navigate the page for changing the password, but could still use this URL.

janina: IETF has a spec for well-known URIs, and a registry for them.
… Came out of WAI coordination group.

Dangling Spec Review Cleanup - https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/wiki/Category:Spec_Review_Assigned

Task Force & Deliverables Updates

Maturity

janina: Updating a glitch on a published doc.
… Can't see where the pull request is

Roy: Will check.
… Seems already fixed.
… Revised working draft to come

matatk: We talked about having a maturity model break-out at TPAC.
… Do we need to help the facilitators?

janina: It is going. Intro why we need this. Panel on companies who have prototyped with the W3C MM.

matatk: Break-outs are on Wed.
… There are also lightning talks: super-quick presentations (3+2min)
… Should we also propose a lightning talk for MM?

janina: Good idea. I will discuss this in the call next hour.
… Useful to show uptake of the work we do.

RQTF

janina: Picking up some new assignments (well-known URLs is one example).
… Tighter coordination between WCAG3 work and research findings needed for their work.
… Anybody interested in contrast requirements?

Pronunciation

matatk: Getting feedback from manufacturers. Pursuing industry consensus.

FAST

matatk: Michael handed the work over to Frederik. At TPAC, some ice-breaking work could be done for FAST.
… We should consider a lightning talk for FAST.
… Still arranging for a time to meet for FAST wg at TPAC.
