Status of Current Testing
<Matt_King> James: Jon completed nav menu button except for one (13 of 14)
<Matt_King> Jon raised point that he was not aware need to capture output from all commands. Not sure if that is resolved.
<Matt_King> Alysa: I tested modal dialog and it did not seem like results were different with feb version vs december version of JAWS.
<Matt_King> James: we have 2 conflicts with slider. We'll look at those this week.
<Matt_King> We are looking at whether we need to update results for macOS. lasted with 12.x ane current version is 13.3
<Matt_King> So far, it appears that 13.x and 12.x are give same results.
Future Testing Plan
<Matt_King> https://
MK: The PAC team put together this spreadsheet
JS: The sheet has a row per plan. Status is either draft, candidate, or recommended
JS: We included the APG URL for each plan, which has the new format for URLs for the APG.
MK: In terms of planning, the first thing I want to add to this is a column for APG Visitor Data. I'm not totally sure how to sum up the data, because for combo box it would be valuable to combine the visits to the combo box page, and all the combo box example page vists
MK: We could have two columns 1 for visits to the pattern, 1 for visits to the example
MK: Any thoughts?
JS: We are happy to add that column
JS: When do expect to have that data?
MK: I need to talk to the Bocoup team, previously Seth was helping with web analytics as it was an inaccessible interface, but I'm not sure who the new person at bocoup will be
MK: Howard do you know who that would be?
Howard: It would most likely be Lola, I will ask the team
MK: I can create an issue where we are documenting how we make our decisions about the plan and perhaps provide a link to this spreadsheet in that issue
MK: I will create an issue then assign to Lola or Carmen
MK: James we will need 3 columns: 1 for pattern, pattern visits, example visits
MK: Example Page Visits, Pattern Name
JS: We will start adding the Pattern names
MK: I need to make sure Shawn Henry is okay sharing the APG data before I share this sheet publicly, I will check on this
MK: Once we have that additional data, the next question is next steps?
MK: How do we make decisions? We have a number of important factors to consider
MK: Some plans have no pending changes and a no required updates
JS: Has pending changes does not mean PAC has done any work yet
MK: I think we can float everything with no changes required and none required updates to the top
MK: These may be good plans to work in Q2
MK: We could prioritize those plans based on APG visit data
MK: The next thing would be out after Q2, what do we tackle and what required changes do we perform
JS: So for next steps, until we have more data to prioritize these, where should we spend our attention
MK: Anything with an open PR we should take care of
JS: I agree
MK: That might get us through the next couple of weeks until we have data
SK: For ones that require additional discussion, should we bump those to the beginning or the end?
MK: I think we are trying to define the work for Q2, Q3, Q4 and then say everything else will be performed in 2024
MK: We want to prioritize impact on the community
SK: One option could be, from an atomic based design, there are components that are used more frequently than others
MK: We were hoping the visitor data from the APG would help define that
Web Site Updates
MK: We are pushing data around!
MK: James and I will do most of the testing
MK: We will share our outcomes. I do think we need to perform the testing before moving them out of the Sandbox
MK: I have started looking at all the data before pushing any buttons
MK: To Publish. Then confirming the changes on the reports page
MK: Howard I will try to get our feedback to you before you start work on Monday
MK: Is that reasonable for you James?
JS: No but hopefully the start of next week
MK: Thanks everyone, talk to you next week
