pchampin: people at PWC are working on the EU Core vocabularies
… they asked me about when DCAT 3 was going to be published
PWinstanley: it would make sense to bring back the core vocabularies in W3C
pchampin: we need enough support among members to create a WG to do that
DCAT
riccardoAlbertoni: we had a meeting last week,
<riccardoAlbertoni> https://
riccardoAlbertoni: we discussed the publication as a CR
… Proposal above is to deliver the CR to the plenary at the end of March
… the exact schedule was only discussed between me and David,
… need to check with the other editors.
… We got an email from Bert van Nuffelen (Semic) asking when we were going to publish.
… We may experience shortage in the editors' availability.
… Dave will be off after mid-February.
… After that point, we need to figure out how to progress.
… We still need to merge some PRs; we have this rule on GH that prevents merging without enough reviews.
PWinstanley: is the easter break going to intefere?
riccardoAlbertoni: plan is to deliver CR before Easter.
… I hope this won't be a problem.
<annette_g> PWinstanley: Are there any periods where w3c publication will not be possible?
<Zakim> pchampin, you wanted to ask about GH merge rules
<annette_g> pchampin: not that I'm aware of
ACTION: pchampin to check about any embargo period for publishing the CR
<PWinstanley> pchampin: the rule in GH is one that the group can change
riccardoAlbertoni: yes, but we would rather keep this way of working
… we can extend the reviews to other members of the group
<riccardoAlbertoni> https://
riccardoAlbertoni: this is the link to the google sheet for implementation reports
… anyone feel free to contribute
<riccardoAlbertoni> w3c/
<riccardoAlbertoni> https://
riccardoAlbertoni: pending PRs linked above
… the 2nd one is from pchampin; small correction providing a better reference about VC
… I suggest merging them ASAP.
<riccardoAlbertoni> w3c/
riccardoAlbertoni: Finally, horizontal review: we still have one unchecked box.
… "Send notifications to groups listed in Charter coordination section"
… Have we deliberately postponed this? Or already communicated with them?
… They should take a look at the ED and provide feedback.
PWinstanley: thanks riccardoAlbertoni, any comment from the others?
PWinstanley: nobu_ogura, you are attending a conference soon; any opportunity to promote the use of DCAT?
<PWinstanley> pchampin: contact from another EC group working on CAMSS
<PWinstanley> ... CAMMS is based on 2 vocabs that the EC colleagues would be interested in developing as W3 standards
<PWinstanley> ... one is for describing specifications, and it is derived from DCAT
<PWinstanley> ... Is there enough interest in creating a WG to assess this and make a project of it?
riccardoAlbertoni: can they provide support in terms of implementation of DCAT-3?
pchampin: I need to check with them
riccardoAlbertoni: in DCAT-2 we counted as implementations "promises of implementation", and "expressions of interest"
… we will need evidence of implementations when going to CR
… the file that I prepared is based on what Andrea prepared for DCAT-2
pchampin: anyway, if the CAMSS vocabulary, which is based on DCAT, comes to REC track, we will need to base it on DCAT-3
