RESOLUTION: approve last meeting minutes https://www.w3.org/2022/11/29-dxwgdcat-minutes

Team introductions as membership has extended today.

riccardoAlbertoni: Summary of current status and state of work
… Hope to move soon to candidate recommendation
… want to set deadline for that to provide clarity for other groups (both inside W3C and external)
… proposal circulated that we could aim for 9th April as possible deadline...

<riccardoAlbertoni> https://w3c.github.io/spec-releases/milestones/?cr=2023-04-18

DaveBrowning: The deadline makes sense to me. Personally though I have limited availability after mid February so may not be able to make as much contribution as I hoped

riccardoAlbertoni: Using the W3C guidance, if we get an editors draft by end March, then it would mean recommendation status 'in the summer' - either just before or after
… Critical task is colllection of evidence of implementation - so we can mark features at risk
… Do we know of any work being done.

naik: Just getting up to speed, so need to some research e.g. DCAT-US

riccardoAlbertoni: Understand. In Europe, SEMIC group is looking to adopt DCAT3
… We can use commitment/intention as support in implementation report

nobu_ogura: Question on adoption of DCAT 3 - how does that work?

riccardoAlbertoni: We just need to show adoption of the new terms, not the whole thing. The draft has notes marking when each feature is introduced (DCAT2/3)

riccardoAlbertoni: What we did in the past was to look at usage of the individual terms. Part of the issue is that people wait for the recommendation before they adopt the terms.
… So we look for commitment rather than practice
… to provide support

riccardoAlbertoni: Some work needed to finalise draft and also to tidy up github issues/status of feed back

PROPOSED: Set deadline for proposal of candidate recommendation to plenary at end of March (with aim of the plenary voting mid April)

DaveBrowning: I'll work through those and assess/respond/escalate as required. As a minimum, move to relevent project/milestone
