<CarlosD> presen+ Sean

Update from the ACT Task Force https://github.com/w3c/wcag-act/pull/522/files

Helen: everyone focusing on color contrast focus/hover states

<Sean> Re: issue 1993, I don't see the option to assign myself. perhaps my permissions are read-only

Update from Manual Test Rules subgroups https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/issues/1952

Helen: work is ongoing, hoping to have something ready in 2 w

Helen: working on "How to manually test focus states 2.4.3"

Helen: there are already rules for 2.4.7, I'm working on 2.4.3 focus order

<Sean> sboptum

ARIA 1.2 breaking some examples https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/issues/1985 https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/issues/1990 https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/issues/1995

Carlos: it was not a problem with aria 1.1 but now it is in aria 1.2 due to implicit role generic of some element such as div and span elements

Carlos: do you see any issue changing the definition of "owned by" to treat generic as presentation?

Carlos: no issues from anyone

Carlos: In "ARIA required owned elements" rule there is discrepancy between expectation and description

Carlos: and we have to update them to make the rule consistent

<CarlosD> https://www.w3.org/TR/wai-aria-1.2/#mustContain

Carlos: aria 1.2 requires at least one element with the required role, but doesn't say anything about owning other elements

Carlos: so updating the rule with "requires at least one element with the required role" should fix the issue

Carlos: to sum up, update "owned by" definition and update the expectation of aria required element "require at least one element" instead of "requires all required elements"

"Links with identical accessible names and context serve equivalent purpose" [fd3a94]: Failed Example 1 should pass. https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/issues/1999

<CarlosD> https://act-rules.github.io/rules/fd3a94

Giacomo: I'll work on creating a non-semantic structure with image and "Read more" text that allow sighted users to visually associate the elements, but keeping the same semantic context for AT users.

"Table header cell has assigned cells" [d0f69e]: UA/AT seems to do more association than HTML specs. https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/issues/1997

https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/tables/two-headers/

Carlos: we need to understand if we want to move to a different definition from html specs for how table headers are assigned to table cells

Giacomo: maybe we need some test with multiple UA/AT to understand how to proceed

Carlos: Agree, let's do some more test

<Sean> need to drop. Thank you for this. Carlos, don't forget to add me to the repo so I can assign myself 1993
