Meeting minutes

The Call for Consensus: w3C Accessibility Maturity Model.

<janina> https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-apa-admin/2022Aug/0001.html

jasonjgw: The CfC for the Maturity Model is open until Friday

jasonjgw: We have lots of positive responses so far

janina: This is about measuring progress over time; something that has been needed for some time

janina: At the moment the publication uses a spreadsheet, but the intended end-product will be a web form

jasonjgw: Agreed: lots of practical uses for this

Accessibility of collaboration tools.

scott_h: Added some comments very recently

scott_h: One issue is when a large chunk of content gets added and the visual layout gets pushed down. That's hard for users with mobility impairments to find their place again.

scott_h: Wonder about guidance for collaboration in different formats, such as word processor, presentation slides, spreadsheets and so forth.

jasonjgw: Will try to create a branch to integrate these ideas

jasonjgw: Providing an opportunity for COGA to comment before publication could be useful

scott_h: +1

jasonjgw: The reason why the current work is screen reader heavy is because virtually all the published research comes from that vantage point

jasonjgw: Accessible issue tracking is another important use case

jasonjgw: Other thoughts??

Natural Language Interface Accessibility User Requirements.

jasonjgw: Hoping Josh could look at this; bring back next week

Accessible Platform Architectures Working Group meetings at TPAC 2022.

jasonjgw: Several meetings will be of interest to this group

janina: Some meeting times are still in flux at this point

jasonjgw: Wiki page on Reporting API is open for comments
