Maturity model FPWD CfC - https:// lists.w3.org/ Archives/ Public/ public-apa-admin/ 2022Aug/ 0001.html
Maturity Model CfC is out! Please have a look and cast your vote, you have until end of week.
+1 to looking at the maturity model.
Feel free to file comments, you can flag those comments as not blocking FPWD
… or not
Janina: If you have a blocker to First Public Working Draft, vote -1 on the CfC
Review draft new AGWG Charter - https:// raw.githack.com/ w3c/ wcag/ charter-2022/ charter.html
Matthew_Atkinson: They are soliciting feedback. It defines what's in and out of scope for AGWG and other deliverables including group liaisons
… please look and provide feedback this week.
janina: Deadline two weeks from today. APA will then report back its comments.
Janina's consulting work
janina: I was requested by management to make clear to everyone here in APA
… having met Lionel on the Adapt call and on this call
… have entered into a consulting contract with UserWay
… which started out at very few hours a month, and is now up to less than half a day a week
… because overlays have been found to be controversial, and UserWay has an overlay product as part of its business
… important to be fair, impartial and inclusive
… I personally interpret inclusiveness as also allowing companies that might be controversial to participate
… there is now a community group
… hopefully to be announced at a TPAC breakout group
… to document what kind of things overlays do
… both what they do poorly and what they do very well
… looking at accessibility on the edge
… in our regular discussions we discuss many topics
… for example I have suggested that UserWay get more involved with other APA projects
… please raise any concerns to me or Matthew, or to WAI staff Roy, Michael, and Judy
niklasegger: I would like to participate in these discussions on overlays, but will not be attending TPAC
janina: Zoom participation is be available for those who can participate via zoom, and a recording will be available
Matthew_Atkinson: And everyone is welcome to join the accessibility at the edge community group
Lionel: UserWay is really trying to involve people in these conversations, and the community group is a good vehicle for that
… as they are very transparent, in the meetings as well as the minutes
Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct - https:// www.w3.org/ Consortium/ cepc/
Matthew_Atkinson: This is the quarterly reminder of one of W3C's most important documents, the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct
… and an associated community group
… it is there to resolve problems
… escalate any problem to the chairs, the community group
…

CSS Color Level 5 review - https:// lists.w3.org/ Archives/ Public/ public-apa/ 2022Aug/ 0002.html
Matthew_Atkinson: The bulk of our suggestions regard the use of color in the presentation of this document
David: We would like to pay attention to possible trigger words in the color palette
… trigger words for health accessibility

Matthew_Atkinson: (Walked through and discussed the details of his comment with APA)
janina: I find this should be an APA comment
RESOLUTION: APA will run a CfC to make Matthew_Atkinson's CSS comments (with proposed revisions) an APA comment
WCAG 2.2 CR review - https:// lists.w3.org/ Archives/ Public/ public-apa/ 2022Aug/ 0005.html
<janina> https://
janina: This comment seems unrealistic and makes WCAG look like it does not know what is going on the world
… the issue, https://
janina: To be clear, I am speaking as an invited expert to W3C (and not as a Chair or an advisor to UserWay)
… though it did come up in conversations with Lionel
<Matthew_Atkinson> The issue is with the "Sometimes" that starts §5.4: https://
Lionel: we are looking at this, https://
Matthew_Atkinson: Does anyone have an objection to the word 'sometimes' in that paragraph?
… I heard objections
janina: We agreed that 'sometimes' is not acceptable to APA
… janina suggests increasingly, but the exponential curve was objected to
… others suggested, 'many'
Matthew_Atkinson: we can discuss it over the next week, and this is an issue we want to resolve
becky: I propose, avoid the adjective and just start with 'later web pages...'
<Matthew_Atkinson> s/Propose, avoid/As proposed at the end of the comment, avoid/
