How can we improve the understanding of AccessModeSufficient: Issue #117

<AvneeshSingh> https://github.com/w3c/publ-a11y/issues/117

avneesh: a lot of discussion happening on this issue.

GeorgesK: textual, auditory vs textual (no coma) auditory meaning different things is very confusing

not having coma separated value would help (not possible in schema.org but may be in our recommandation.

mgarrish: coma is the only way it works unfortunately.

Madeleine: schema.org does not apply only to epub. We may be the only place where we document this but those metadats can be used in other places than epub.

This feature may be irrelevant to epub but neede in other contexts.

anyway meeting the need of epub is high priority

mgarrish: this is to be documented in epub accessibility technique. make sure we don't influence the vocabulary (for others contexts)

AvneeshSingh: short term solution is to emphasis single values.

LarsW: epub that do need multiple modes for being suficient exists.

Madeleine: it's "each entry shloud be one single line"

CharlesL: usecase a book with undescribed picture will get "textual visual" (need the two sense to be consumed).

<Madeleine> +1 to Matt

AvneeshSingh: we ave a short term arrangement. We'll keep discussing this on the futur.

Update from accessibility summary guidance document sub task force

<mgarrish> https://www.w3.org/TR/epub-a11y-tech-11/#meta-002

<AvneeshSingh> https://w3c.github.io/publ-a11y/drafts/schema-a11y-summary/

<zheng_xu> https://w3c.github.io/publ-a11y/drafts/schema-a11y-summary/#accessibility-features

GeorgeK: 4.4 is a big table. We should remove some items.

<ChrisOliverOttawa> MARC crosswalk -- can be just two or three minutes. So feel free to take more time for this issue of the summary

CharlesL: we should specify that accessibilityFeature = 'index' means there is a linked index usefull for navigation thru screen reader

zheng_xu: for accessibilityFeature = 'latex' we may wait for a usecase (i do latex but it's converted to HTML).

GeorgeK: next work is creation of exemples

Update from MARC cross walk sub task force:

ChrisOliverOttawa: had a meeting with marrakech implementation metadata group. Crosswalk is important for them. Description of vocabulary is very important for Librarians.

More feedback by next week

AccessibiltySummary is very important has it stands the Publisher efforts while file and other metadats can be modified by vendor. It's easy to grab and display.

Librarians will value this accessibilitySummay

Michelle_: there is a growing danger of lawsuits in universities and their libraries for accessibility non compliant publications.

<Madeleine> June 30 is fine for me

<zheng_xu> I added issue for latex here btw https://github.com/w3c/publishingcg/issues/37
