PRs

Exploration

McCool: we don't have an exploration service for a server that isn't a Thing but wants to host a TD
… Also, directories may not be self-describing.
… have two PRs with alternative approaches to address these.
… adding a separate exploration method resulted in mostly a copy of self-describing.
… in another PR, I modified the self-describing to allow serving a TD but not be a self-describing.

<kaz> PR 330 - Self service exploration

<kaz> PR 325 - Service exploration

the diagram is confusing because TDD is hosting multiple servers. The "contains" arrow was there for the same purpose.

McCool: this was to saw TDD provides service endpoints for TDs that it hosts

in the intro+exploration figure, the TD server section is confusing.

McCool: we can improve in future PRs

McCool: going to merge the second PR which described self-describing as a special case of TD server
… will close the other PR

Clean content type (https://github.com/w3c/wot-discovery/pull/329)

it is clarifying assertions for content negotiations and also allows application/json as content type

there is now a merge conflict because of the other merged PR

McCool: let's resolve the conflict and wait one more week for Ben's review

testing

McCool: June implementation report: https://github.com/w3c/wot-discovery/pull/331
… it doesn't not include the recently added assertions
… will update with the latest PRs
… will also update the template for testing: https://github.com/w3c/wot-testing/pull/315

automated tests assertions: https://github.com/farshidtz/wot-discovery-testing/blob/main/directory/assertions.go

e.g. assertions that aren't tested: https://github.com/farshidtz/wot-discovery-testing/runs/6434367425?check_suite_focus=true#step:5:119

but the list is out of date

note that automated tests are only for the TDD

McCool: will update the template soon
… will update the report with new results every day

McCool: one concern is that .well-known uses a very long name making the URL very large.

Jan: how about wot_td?

Jan: core resource type is also long

Jan: ideally they should stay consistent

WoT IEEE P2874 presentation

Christine: discussed geo-spatial queries

McCool: please follow-up by email

<kaz> (Kaz has just forwarded the email from Linda to the WoT Chairs list.)
