Subgroups Updates - report

DaveBrowning: I was on the DCAT call
… and got nominated to report :)
… we had a call last week
… Nobu gave us a short presentation of his interest and his questions related to DCAT
… so we agreed to respond to those questions in the upcoming weeks
… we want to get some momentum on this since it's a useful test of the sanity of the document
… went through issues/PRs
… still work to do

DCAT Call February 8
… please provide feedback if you don't approve on our direction
… some editorial work also needs to happen
… need more clarity on order of issues/schedule
… help to prioritize would be appreciated

Caroline_: what's the next step?

plh: working draft in March, then start wide review

Next charter

Caroline_: we agreed to continue for 2 years

https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/pull/1452

https://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://raw.githubusercontent.com/w3c/dxwg/b361b9d43d0b5df1f7132c78dd9ff02751490c64/charter/charter-2022.html

plh: [summarizes the pull request]

annette_g: are we using the permissive doc license?

plh: yes

Caroline_: next step for Conneg?

plh: we didn't discuss those. we're just keeping in the charter

<Caroline_> https://www.w3.org/TR/2019/WD-dx-prof-conneg-20191126/

annette_g: is it a Note or on the REC track?

plh: it's on the REC track so far

annette_g: unless we do work on it, we should remove it from the rec-track

plh: I don't mind either way
… we should discuss with Peter

Caroline_: let's put this on our next agenda
… and you should reach to the editors in the meantime
… is there anyone today willing to work on Conneg?

[none heard]

Caroline_: let's vote next time maybe to put out of the charter (ie push it as a Note)

https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/pull/1452

AOB

kcoyle: Dublin Core is continuing to work on application profiles
… we played around with the DCAT one
… and someone in our group has developed a way to go from the tabular form directly to SHACL, testing against the DCAT test suite
… see my email

TAP to SHACL for a DCAT-AP

Caroline_: sounds great, should we invite to talk about this?

kcoyle: we could but recent issue discussion about some confusion on what to use in the DCAT-AP seems to come down to who pays attention to DCAT-AP
… happy to do it but not sure if the DCAT group is the group looking at that.
… the email is there so if folks show an interest, we can follow up

[adjourned]
