New charter
PWinstanley: Besides DCAT, I wonder whether we can get back on the call some people from CONNEG.
PWinstanley: plh, would you tell us about the charter?
plh: About DXWG, we are going to extend the charter.
… The question is whether we keep the deliverables as they are.
… We can update it wrt the schedule to have DCAT3 as REC, and leave the rest as it is.
… So, basically, we just change the end date of the charter and we keep deliverables and all the rest.
<plh> Current WG charter
plh: About the new patent policy, it may be worth switching to it, even before DCAT3 becomes a REC.
… There's only the hassle that people have to rejoin the group.
plh: So, which extension should we go for? It can be from 6 months to 2 years.
PWinstanley: A 2 years extension is probably safer.
plh: Fine. Any estimate on when we can get DCAT3 out?
riccardoAlbertoni: The plan would be to close the CR before the summer, but we are not sure we can make it, according to the W3C publication schedule.
… More likely end of 2022.
riccardoAlbertoni: The current plan is to have the last PWD in March.
… We actually have a lot of comments, and we have to understand how to deal with them.
… These are about guidance, editorial changes, requests for new features, and feedback on existing ones.
<plh> DCAT 3 Timeline: last PWD in March, start wide review end of March, publish CR in June, move to PR in Q4 2022, REC in Q1 2023
riccardoAlbertoni: The idea is to focus on versioning and dataset series, and leave all other features for next version.
plh: So, I will propose a 2 year extension, and I'll update the charter as discussed.
Nobu_OGURA: About the extension of the charter, is this for the current project, or for new activities?
plh: Actually, the charter does not prevent us to add new things, so it's just the extension of the WG.
TPAC 2022
plh: It's scheduled in Vancouver in September.
… By April, we are trying to understand whether it will be virtual or not.
… Assumption is hybrid mode - 50% in place, 50% remotely.
… There's also the problem of COVID rules changing continuously.
… One thing is that we are no longer going to have meetings lasting all day.
<plh> 12-16 September in Vancouver
DCAT3
riccardoAlbertoni: Report mainly about the schedule we just discussed.
PWinstanley: The question is whether we are reaching enough people for the review of the PWD.
riccardoAlbertoni: We have already quite a few people. So, the question is whether we should get in touch with other communities.
PWinstanley: plh, any W3C group?
plh: DID & Verifiable Credentials might be interested.
… I will anyway try to check internally.
<plh> Pierre-Antoine Champin
<plh> AndreaPerego: we're already in contact with the Spatial Data Working Group. They are using DCAT

riccardoAlbertoni: To conclude the summary, we just need to review the PRs in GitHub.
… The issues above are already linked to the relevant PRs.
