Meeting minutes
Scope document edits
Some questions:
* Benefits v. features
* Ecommerce?
Ian: Should we focus on Ecommerce?
Gerhard: I would include bill pay. For me the split is more B2C v. B2B
smcgruer_[EST]: +1 to "B2C"
<mweksler> +1
smcgruer_[EST]: Ok for future considerations including P2P or B2B
<Christian> +1
<AdrianHB> +1
Action: Ian to clarify B2C use cases in the scope document
Ian: (Unique) Benefits v. Features?
Gerhard: Whichever way we go, the thing that is different is:
- Built in browser support for payments
- Cross-domain
… FIDO already gives us cryptogram.
… I think there are "primary" and "secondary" benefits / features
<smcgruer_[EST]> +1 to those being the useful things (for now)
Ian: What does "cross-domain" mean to you?
Gerhard: "Party calling it is not the RP"
Tomasz: If we are talking about cross-domain capability, I think this is a key feature.
… even if the cryptogram captures additional details, it's the cross-domain bit which is a key feature
… it is not just about scalability, it is an enabler for a new user experience
Action: Gerhard and Ian to work on teasing out BOTH features (e.g., cross-origin) and benefits (e.g., scalability)
Gerhard: I think we should have some additional discussion on requirements for browsers v. innovation in UX
Work plan

Tomasz: Do we have other browser vendors engaged (in this time frame or other)?
Ian: WG can share deliverables ... please have your companies ask for engagement on this topic!
Tomasz: What about Edge?
smcgruer_[EST]: If we (Chrome team) were ship code, we will contact all the other browser vendors and solicit input.
… we will want an explainer that states what we plan to ship
… once we have an explainer that looks like something we have in a spec, we'll socialize that with other browser vendors.
... One comment: I am excited by the plan.
… regarding FPWD, we don't need "confirmed" FPWD, but at least a spec that I'm satisfied would be pretty much an FPWD
Ian: Any editing volunteers?
