DCAT
riccardoAlbertoni: recap: met last Wed - focus on DCAT requirements pending
… selected easy to close - 3 out of 11 closed
… how to represent CRS - example already included
… publication control for metadata - considered unhelpful to limit
… related vocabulary mapping to DCAT - not evidence in Use Case to link, more than one way possible, not possible to select a single solution.
… received feedback on WD from Renato Iannella - about new class for "Data Series"
PWinstanley: we are trying to plan how much work to be done in near future.
… how much capacity do we have - levels of commitment to DCAT work?
… looking for evidence that people have looked and find it is acceptable
… its an iceberg - what we see is a small subset
updates on ConnegP
Nick: waiting on feedback from IETF process on use of link headers
… have asked Lars for update.
… we have a fallback - to make HTTP a informative section
… Feedback from communities looking for means to provide alternative geometries.
… in OGC testbed Nick (SURROUND) implemented OGC APIs with ConnegP.,
<PWinstanley> roba: been rebuilding APIs for OGC, awaiting the decision of IETF
<ncar> Draft rendering of the PROF Implementation Report: https://
roba: have been updating OGC infrastructure to support ConnegP header changes - can handle whatever way it falls out.
PROF update
Nick: implementation using all components in place
… when OGC deployment last property to have implementation evidence covered
… work on multiple aspects of prof - cataloguing, validation, documentation etc
PWinstanley: is checka getting much interest (forking, starring)
<ncar> Profiles Catalogue: https://
Nick: not a lot but a range of commercial activities using it
… Profiles catalog up at w3id.org - a DCAT profile for profiles, with ConnegP
… expect OGC and others to also have similar catalogs
PWinstanley: does this subclass resource - have Profile as a subclass of dcat:Resource?
Nick: yes it does.. tool called CatPrez - "vanilla DCAT" - with profile based plugin to extend
PWinstanley: mutant of VocPrez?
Nick: yes a generalised version
… supports polymorphism - DCAT and Profiles
<ncar> DGGS Cat: https://
PWinstanley: can use for Datasets and Services ?
Nick: yes we have an example from the OGC testbed work (DGGS)
PWinstanley: in DCAT 3 we have opportunity to update implementations - subclass pattern of interest
Nick: if someone can provide some test data from multiple DCAT profiles we can tick off DCAT 3 properties.
<ncar> GeoSPARQL 1.1 Profile: https://
Nick: we have a high profile implementation of PROF for GeoSPARQL
<ncar> GeoSPARQL: https://
Nick: GeoSPARQL WG realise they have multiple parts, can be handled a set of profiles - handling both versioning and collation of resources
Nick: We have other groups contact us around use of profiles - e.g, IEC CIM
PWinstanley: yes a number of people in Norway ?
Nick: yes - and Lawrence Livermore in US
Rachel: are profiles on base on DCAT?
PWinstanley: two lines of work - update of DCAT and Content-negotiation-by-profile
… originally ... requesting of a server what profiles are available... PROF allows declaration of what other profiles these may be compliant with
roba: PROF meets a set of requirements not specific to DCAT
… is there roadmap for DCAT profile publication?
PWinstanley: Max ?
Nick: could be a nice demonstrator...
… could include VOID as well to illustrate mapping...
PWinstanley: could include domain-specific ones
<Makx> You mean the European profile? No schedule known yet.
PWinstanley: and national profiles
roba: this is an issue of governance - we have lots of examples
PWinstanley: EU has groups in place..
Promotion and followup of DCAT v3 PWD
PWinstanley: who has been able to send out note about DCAT v3, capacity to do more or ideas on how to get more feedback from people already approached?
<PWinstanley> acl ncar
Nick: as user of catalogues can give some semi-indepedent feedback on what DCAT v3 may offer
<ncar> I can provide semi-independent feedback on DCAT3 by using it with my clients. I've not been involved in DCAT3 but am in DXWG, hence the semi-independent claim
<annette_g> can we reiterate links to the spreadsheet and the prewritten note?
<riccardoAlbertoni> https://
open actions
PWinstanley: 413 - reconvening working groups
Nick: have not had substantial changes to process - so can close now
… can reconvene when necessary
PWinstanley: #210 on guidance note gap analysis?
Nick: we dont have people to do the guidance work so this is not progressable
<PWinstanley> proposed: close action 210 as unlikely to get completed

PWinstanley: AOB?
AndreaPerego: new version of Geospatial version of DCAT-AP aligned with DCAT v2 published just before christmas
… looked at what is happening on GeoSPARQL - used terms from 1.1
… looks like some properties may be relevant for DCAT v3
… q for Nick: is it possible to follow the GeoSPARQL living draft?
Nick: in theory yes ... decision was to be open - issues in 1.1 draft - rendering to HTML not yet available
… shortly available - meeting tomorrow will raise
<ncar> GeoSPARQL 1.1 spec folder: https://
<riccardoAlbertoni> GeoDCAT-AP - Version 2.0.0 available at https://
<Makx> And here https://
Nick: issue is rendering needs to be updated automatically.. will raise with WG
<ncar> Great to be back in touch everyone! I hope to attend some DCAT meetings for DCAT3 demo use
