Update to the WAI redesign

<hdv> The updated page: https://w3c.github.io/wai-wcag-supporting-documents-redesign/2020-07-15-prototype-act.html

Hidde: made some updated based on previous feedback
... moved accessibility requirements mapping higher up
... made it expandable/collapsible
... also added expand all / collapse all buttons for test cases
... updated permalinks
... some fixes
... removed tool tip for "Rule type"
... highlighting "conformance rule"
... added "All ACT Rules" page
... still working on syntax highlighting
... doing that for Techniques first
... hope to be able to reuse it for this too

Trevor: slight pixel bug for the asterisk

Hidde: see that, will fix it
... may be site-wide issue

Wilco: suggest adding expand / collapse for Glossary
... suggest adding expand all / collapse all for Glossary

Levon: issue of having same "expand all" label twice on the page?

Trevor: think context is clear

Levon: what if someone hopping links using screen reader?

Shadi: maybe make latter part of label non-visible
... for example "expand all test cases" with "test cases" non-visible

Daniel: think would deserve specific label
... elsewhere on the website "expand all" expands all sections
... link to GitHub / feedback at the bottom go to wrong repo
... also permalinks need some label

Hidde: what email to use?

public-wcag-act-comments@w3.org

<Wilco> https://github.com/w3c/wcag-act/issues

Wilco: drop fork link

Shadi: add link to CG instead?

"Test rules" v "ACT rules" conversation

https://github.com/w3c/wcag/pull/1526/files

Wilco: don't like "Test Rules"

<p> The following are testing rules for certain aspects of this Technique. It is not necessary to use these particular rules to check for conformance with WCAG, but they are defined and approved test methods. For information on using Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Rules, see <a href="{$loc.understanding}understanding/understanding-act-rules.html">Understanding ACT Rules for WCAG Success Criteria</a>.</p>

Trevor: what are proposals?

Wilco: ACT Rules, WCAG Rules

Trevor: WCAG Rules may exclude best practice rules?

Wilco: these would be ARIA Rules

Shadi: what is the issue with "Test Rules"

Wilco: these are not rules for testing
... don't tell how to actually do the testing

Shadi: think in this case very contextualized

<Levon> +1

Hidde: think important to have testing be in there

Levon: like the consistency aspect

Trevor: don't think it is a big issue either way
... just lots of the word "rule" being used

Daniel: like "Test Rules"
... don't see problem with that

Shadi: had also agreed this with the chairs

Wilco: let's go with that then
... will do CFC early January

meta element has no refresh delay: https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/93339/ACTMetaRefreshDelay/results

Trevor: needed examples

Wilco: agree, should not repeat
... seems like an easy fix

Trevor: including exceptions in the background instead of expectations

Wilco: have example of that
... contrast rule

Trevor: can just leave it then
... example descriptions need rework?
... should be smooth sailing when it comes back

Wilco: agree
... could go directly to CFC once updated

RESOLUTION: "meta elements has no refresh delay" can go to CFC after editorial changes are made

Trevor: anybody bothered by non-capitalized "meta"?

Wilco: had long discussion about that

Trevor: reword to move back

Wilco: would break alphabetical ordering

Trevor: extend surveys till January?

Wilco: yes

Next Meeting

NEXT MEETING 7 JANUARY

Wilco: happy holidays everyone
