Prev minute

<kaz> May-27

<kaz> McCool: typo with "back o" for "back to"

McCool: any objections?

(no objections, and the minutes are approved)

Guests

McCool: since ari and carsten are here, we want to finalize the discussions on the t2t workshop

<kaz> (Carsten is a guest today)

<kaz> aware of the patent policy: https://www.w3.org/Consortium/Patent-Policy-20170801/

T2TRG workshop

<akeranen> https://github.com/t2trg/2020-06-helsinki#approximate-agenda

McCool: (shows the agenda for the workshop)

Ari: We have discussing about the templates in the wishi calls and also the hypermedia controls

McCool: I will check with ml whether this is OK
... Will you check with them if they can present

Sebastian: yes, I cannot be present but I will check with them so that they can present
... ege is also writing a proposal

(missed the question of ari)

McCool: We should look into how people design RESTful APIs with hypermedia
... mozilla gave input on this

Ari: write an email for more input

Carsten: So ege will be present too?

Ege: so we have two proposals, one from and one from me

<kaz> RESTful Designs for IoT Systems

Carsten: So will it be a shootout?

Ege: we will see this friday I think

Sebastian: So the RESTful design is a new document?

Carsten: not really

McCool: I think that 30 mins is too short for this discussion to really happen

Ari: maaybe we can present hypermedia approaches we have learned from other groups

scribenick: kaz

Kaz: so we WoT WG should look at the IRTF's RESTful Designs document a bit more, and so summarize our own ideas to generate several slides for the 30-min discussion during the workshop on June 8, and then have detailed discussion during the f2f on June 26

(Sebastian leaves)

https://github.com/w3c/wot-thing-description/tree/master/proposals/hypermedia-control

(Zoltan leaves)

https://github.com/w3c/wot-thing-description/pull/907

Ege: there are 2 proposals, one by myself and another by Victor
... the main difference is one focuses on TD updates

https://github.com/w3c/wot-thing-description/issues/899

McCool: we can add those resources to the workshop agenda page

Ari: sounds good

https://github.com/w3c/wot-thing-description/issues/302

Ari: I also put the URL for the section on hypermedia-driven app

<kaz> 5. Hypermedia-driven Applications (from the RESTful design doc)

scribenick: Ege_

Ari: we can take it offline, the three of us

McCool: sure
... anything more on logistics?

<kaz> old t2t registration site

Kaz: registration site for t2t workshop, where is it?

Ari: GDocs is on the Readme

<kaz> official IRTF registration site

McCool: I will do some cleanup and confer by email for the logistics

<kaz> (Carsten, Ari and Klaus leave)

PlugFest planning

McCool: merges PR nb 5
... from Farshid

<kaz> PR 5

McCool: Do you have any updates on the VPN?

Matsukura: I am checking with Toumura san

McCool: We need to get access to the AWS instance. Do you have access?

Matsukura: no

McCool: that needs to happen

Kaz: I sent you an email 2 hours ago, we need some information like public key, IP addresses etc.

McCool: Then I let matsukura-san to do configuration of the VPN
... We also need to figure out how to do a bridge
... We need to have the instructinos ready by next week

<McCool> https://github.com/w3c/wot-testing/blob/master/events/2020.06.Online/tools/vpn.md

McCool: the instructions should go to this link pasted above
... please put your TDs

<inserted> Kaz: as I already mentioned last week, people are encouraged to put their resources/TDs used for TPAC 2019 to wot-teting/events/2020.06.Online/TDs if they're ok with reusing them

McCool: Just go ahead and create PRs, I will just merge if it simply doesn't overwrite anything
... I need to move the junk from wiki to here
... should I create md files for scenarios

Daniel: From our side, we want to test hypermedia stuff

McCool: LinkSmart directory is already running

Kaz: It would be good if you can generate a diagram for the setups (VPN, Directory, etc.)

<McCool> https://github.com/w3c/wot-testing/blob/master/events/2020.06.Online/prototypes/hypermedia.md

McCool: We should add the TDs and description of the implementation
... We should close the call for now
... so please add information

<kaz> [adjourned]
