ITU Presentation

<kaz> Slides

Gyu: Study group 20 is looking at the WoT standardization
... Two workpackages are planned taking over 2020 and 2021 with 7 Work Packages
... We propose a WoT Framework
... ITU does not do detailed standards, for this we would collaborate with other SDOs
... Also we should mention Web of Objects
... not the same point of view as WoT
... The focus group also has deliverables
... The next study period aims to include a collaboration with W3C, starting 2021

McCool: we need to figure out how to collaborate
... we need to agree on the architectural level but also on services, such as discovery

Lagally: you showed ontologies. Is there some work going on this?

Gyu: we have defined the requirements but not our own ontology
... but it can be possible since it was done with oneM2M

Lagally: (I am not sure if I got it right) are you aware of other standards satisfying the requirements matching TD

(could not understand the answer)

Lagally: We are discussing use cases intensively in the architecture calls

Gyu: We also have defined use cases that match the requirements

<kaz> WoT REC press release

Kaz: I have two points on how to proceed
... we are collecting new generation of use cases after our publishing the first-gen specs as the press release says
... it would great to have input from your side on how to extend. in addition, from procedure viewpoint, we could establish yet anther liaison between ITU-T SG20 and W3C WoT WG for further collaboration

Gyu: Solutions can be provided by W3C

(Ege leaves and Kaz takes over the scribe role.)

<kaz> scribenick: kaz

Gyu: there will be an event in June
... some intention could be mentioned to indicate our collaboration

Lagally: great

Sebastian: Lagally, could you let Gyu know about the UC discussion?

Lagally: happy to do so
... next call planned tomorrow
... probably could invite him in 2 weeks or so

Sebastian: ok, we should clarify the procedure for further collaboration as well
... thanks a lot for this great presentation
... will talk about the next topic

F2F meetings

Sebastian: we've postponed our June meeting by 2 weeks
... 15-19 June for PlugFest and 22-26 June for F2F discussion
... but still planned to have the T2T joint workshop on June 8
... there will be no regular calls during the F2F
... is that ok?
... would concentrate on the F2F discussions

Kaz: meaning for the whole 2 weeks?

Sebastian: yes
... June 15 till 26

McCool: note that one meeting during the PlugFest week
... at 9am Eastern on June 15-19
... maybe we can establish concrete resolution next week

Lagally: reminder about the UC call
... non-WG participants (=IG participants) are also welcome
... please attend the call

<sebastian> https://www.w3.org/WoT/IG/wiki/IG_UseCase_WebConf

Lagally: some confusion on the call last time, so would like to make sure

McCool: can send a calender invite
... also all the invited guests will be included in the member-wot-guests list

Sebastian: TPAC?

Kaz: McCool has submitted the logistics questionnaire
... listed possible joint calls there

McCool: details to be described next time

Sebastian: note that just created a wiki page for the possible f2f meeting in Pune next year

wiki for 2020 first f2f

Sebastian: thanks a lot for the talk, Gyu Myoung Lee!

[main call adjourned; plugfest call in 10 mins]

[IRC channel will be #wot-pf]
