Incorporating ACT rules into WCAG resources

<LisaSeemanKest> found it!

https://www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/act/#act-rules-repository

<LisaSeemanKest> can u put the link in again to the wcag sc updates

shadi: starting to publish first ACT Rules

<Rachael> shadi: looking to incorporate ACT rules into understanding documents. Need to discuss how to do this. Want to start the discussion.

<Rachael> rachael: alastair had suggested the ACT rules go under techniques.

Michael: makes sense but not sure how to do that
... may also have several rules per technique
... or have a new section

Shadi: can setup a meeting

Michael: do we need a meeting or can we do via email

<Rachael> Rachael: Can someone mock up putting them under techniques?

<Rachael> Shadi: Will take it back to facilitators and discuss if we cna prototype or if we need a meeting. Also reminder that we have funding to redesign the architecture of WCAG documents. These were moved out of the TR space but still have the TR look and feel. Several feel they are hard to use.

<Rachael> ...this work is starting collecting requirements for this. Just a heads up.

<Rachael> We will bring in these groups and AG. We can hopefully pull in more resources such as the ACT rules. Maybe a quickref. Make filtering, using, reading techniques easier. One possibility would be tags such as in the quick ref and you'd click on it and it would show all the patterns, etc that relate to that tag.

<Rachael> ...just reminder or heads up.

<Rachael> Lisa: We have mockups and wireframes for coga. There may be inspiration there. It would be good to have a consistent look and feel.

<Rachael> Shadi: I understand ARIA authoring practices also want to move. I am aware of the coga design pattern work. They feel like advisory techniques. It would be great to have all the resources in one place.

<Rachael> ...this may be a two phase approach. The first would be a link out from techniques while we are in parallel redesigning the understanding and techniques and the supporting documents. To have all the bits and pieces have a common look and feel and fit together

Rachael: questions on this?
