AGENDA ITEM, Final call https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/pulls?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Apr+label%3A%22Final+call%22

<Jean-Yves> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/pulls?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Apr+label%3A%22Final+call+2+weeks%22

Jean-Yves: changes are small
... move to accessibility support

Wilco: think ok here

Jean-Yves: i'm fine with that
... but notice some inconsistencies
... will revoke change requests for now

shadi: can we log inconsistencies?

Wilco: open issue?

<Wilco> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/pull/555

Jean-Yves: maybe add to the Pull Request from Emma?

<Wilco> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/pull/419

Wilco: wrong label for 555?

Jean-Yves: seems so

Wilco: will remove label

<Wilco> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/pull/971

Wilco: 419 looking good
... open for another week

shadi: "explicit"?

Wilco: put comment to PR
... 971 merge tomorrow?

Jean-Yves: yes

AGENDA ITEM, Reviewers wanted https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/pulls?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=is%3Aopen+is%3Apr+review%3Arequired+

Rule idea: Focusable element has visible focus (bd5de3) #415

Jean-Yves: agreed good idea but need someone to take it up

Jey: had been on hold for a while
... so need to decide what to do

Wilco: who is working on it?

Jean-Yves: I inherited that from Anne but not working on it yet

Wilco: should we close until you get to work on it?

Jean-Yves: good idea

Potential failure techniques for consideration as ACT Rules #469

<Wilco> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/issues/469

shadi: idea proposed by Mike Gower
... how do we capture such suggestions from the community?

Wilco: adding labels for that

Consider using accessibility tree as an input aspect #638

Jean-Yves: not sure about comment anymore

<emmaj-pr> Sorry to be so late, didn't notice my reminder

Jean-Yves: after our discussion at the f2f

Wilco: need to update a bunch of rules
... will put Pull Request with addition to rules
... may also mean some rules don't need DOM anymore

Emma: accessibility tree consistent on all browsers?

Wilco: no

Emma: than that needs to be a consideration

Validity of HTML Lang attribute (bf051a) agenda+ incorrect info about xml:lang #668

Jean-Yves: superseded by removing xml:lang?

Wilco: part of it, I think

Jean-Yves: can put assumption about how content is served

Wilco: two more icons, for example inside iframe

Jean-Yves: need to open separate issue for that

Wilco: also to check sub-tags

Jean-Yves: can also open in separate issue

Wilco: will leave it to Kasper to decide
... please inform him next week
... will add it to next week's agenda too

[WIP] New Rule: SVG-with-non-text-content-has-name-7d6735.md #678

<Wilco> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/pull/678

Jey: similar issue to "explicit SVG" rule
... proposing to close it for now

Jean-Yves: support for SVG is total mess
... so decided to split
... has been inactive for a while

Wilco: will reach out to Bryn
... either close or move forward

Jey: already asked that question

Wilco: will ask again

Use "top-level browser context" instead of "web page"? #869

<Wilco> https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/blob/update-rule-links-with-identical-names-serve-equivalent-purpose-b20e66/pages/glossary/web-page.md

Wilco: issue of using a different term for an existing WCAG term

shadi: is this a specific type of web page, for example markup pages?

Jean-Yves: maybe even HTML web page?

Wilco: do we even need this definition?

Jean-Yves: more specific than WCAG definition

<Wilco> https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/#dfn-web-page-s

Emma: everything coming from a URI and fully rendered?

Wilco: do not see multiple ways of interpreting WCAG term

Emma: where are you using this?

Jean-Yves: in iframes and browsing contexts
... browsing context comes from WhatWG

Emma: I would include definition of web page to include iframes
... maybe can include both terms in the rule?

Jean-Yves: to me it is more precise

Wilco: will move it to next week

final thoughts

Jey: asking for reviews!

Jean-Yves: small meeting

Emma: don't think web page and browsing context as the same thing

shadi: like Emma's idea of trying to use both terms

<emmaj-pr> Cheers

trackbot, end meeting
