Meeting minutes

PWinstanley: I have written to Chairs of WG, CG and the senior staff of ISA, RDA etc to request wide review and feedback to the public comments mailing list. Asked for this to be done in 2-3 weeks, but this is perhaps going to result in feedback within the next month or so

DaveBrowning: skipping over the minutes, as we are inquorate...

<AndreaPerego> PWinstanley, ODRL CG got your msg: https://‌lists.w3.org/‌Archives/‌Public/‌public-odrl/‌2019May/‌0006.html

DaveBrowning: the new PWD - I did a release in github, so there is a clean baseline - has some strange errors. The doc looks fine, but going through some of the checkers there are warnings that don't occur with the ED
… This is disconcerting. It looks like a different version of respec is being used
… We need to investigate
… I did this on 2 computers, so it doesn't appear to be related to the computer environment
… The other thing we need to discuss is the template for implementation, and we need to get the evidence into that format.

AndreaPerego: I updated the spreadsheet and added information about the new classes and properties about temporal and spatial coverage

DaveBrowning: I think we are ready to go, but need feedback from the wider group.

PWinstanley: I need to write out to people to encourage this

AndreaPerego: the spreadsheet can be shared - just email me to get write privileges
… The link is on the main page of the wiki

<AndreaPerego> Spreadsheet is here: https://‌docs.google.com/‌spreadsheets/‌d/‌1eEVUuPFAGO2GjS5ocxylY8T1AlpqlwnOTc3er_Mhcv4/‌edit#gid=1108132380

<AndreaPerego> There's also a link in the main page of the WG wiki: https://‌www.w3.org/‌2017/‌dxwg/‌wiki/‌Main_Page#DCAT_deliverable

AndreaPerego: CKAN extension - the ncar work was updated for the recent revision of DCAT-AP, which means that it is already providing evidence about DCAT v2
… the main part that is missing is about services - and it is difficult because CKAN has no notion of different resource types. When relating to geospatial services the CKAN reports these as CKAN services
… I am a bit unsure of ncar ability to complete the work within the time available
… but we can always report that work is underway

PWinstanley: so the reporting of work underway is low category evidence of implementation - because it signifies intention
… i.e. people are agreeing with the model we are proposing
… they just haven't got around to completing the work

DaveBrowning: so we should be capturing any work in progress

PWinstanley: we need to harmonise our specification of 'profile' across DCAT and COnneg

DaveBrowning: the 2014 talks about DCAT profiles, so we don't remove but we look to harmonising the spec of "profile" that can be used across all docs - we haven't been fully connecting across WGs to get this done

PWinstanley: so I think this is a plenary one whilst we decide how we are going to handle the whole issue of "profiles"

<AndreaPerego> [meeting adjourned]

Minutes manually created (not a transcript), formatted by Bert Bos's scribe.perl version Mon Apr 15 13:11:59 2019 UTC, a reimplementation of David Booth's scribe.perl. See history.
