PWinstanley: some early announcements. Some good news and some modifications on how we go ahead.
… from discussions between kcoyle , Philippe and I
… We're under pressure for ??? [there was noise]
… All of our effort should go into getting DCAT and Conneg out of way.
… And put all the other stuff on hold until May
… then we can see where we are on Profiles and PROF
… so others need to know of this shift of focus
… and put a tag on the docs that the documents are on hold.
… I understand that there will be concerns about e.g. Rob and Nick for continuing their own work.
… We have to ensure that a separate fork can be worked on separately and privately.
… In order to work full steam on DCAT and Conneg, we need to solve issues on timing for merging of PRs.
… Aggregating PRs in the last few days
… Editors could go on merging of PRs but put it in the agenda so that people can see what's happening

plh: the priority is DCAT. We need progress before the end of the charter or the group will not be extended.
… Conneg is ok if it doesn't get in the way
… The rest can be put on hold.
… The group can pick it up afterwards.

Before June, we need to think whether the group needs an extension

... I don't think we need the discussion right now.

... regarding the profile docs, there can be progress on a separate fork.

... and the group can do a review, but not now as the priority is DCAT

<PWinstanley> antoine: Can we have clarification re: the profile doc?

<kcoyle> antoine: asking for clarification re: profile document; in terms of forking repo

<kcoyle> ... means forking into another repo?

<kcoyle> ... assume that looking at PRs - DCAT and conneg only?

PWinstanley: the challenge is to allow people with work interest to continue
… I've asked plh about licenses etc
… this can cover continuation of work
… [reiters shift of focus]

<kcoyle> +1

ncar: no real problem if there is a timing issue
… but there is a dependency, e.g. Conneg mentions things like conformance
… so there could be things to sort out
… And can we push out a PWD with the recent changes?
… to answer the changes

<roba> +1 to responding to commenters - whiuch cannot be done without a new PWD

ncar: Wrt PROF there haven't been significant changes
… so I'm ok leaving it for a couple of months

PWinstanley: we're up for publishing often
… how much time does it require?

<kcoyle> +1

ncar: it can be done right after this meeting for the changes mentioned on the agenda

<roba> +1

annette_g: there is one substantial issue on Conneg before it moves to PWD

PWinstanley, ncar: this would be PROF

<roba> if editors can do their job and close issues and refactor issues that are now mixed issues.

<kcoyle> antoine: about PWD for vocab - I'm in favor this but have we responded to commenters?

<kcoyle> antoine: not against general approach; if we get out 2PWD of vocabulary, then we need to be sure discussion does not happen

<kcoyle> ... need good mechanism to say that

<kcoyle> PWinstanley: we will make announcement

... along several routes

plh: is there an issue with Conneg? The priority is DCAT

roba: a lot of people have responded and many changes and we need to come back to the commenters

PWinstanley: if editors think the issues have dealt with, issues can be closed.

ncar: On Conneg there is a couple of issues but we're not far
… maybe next week

<roba> note this concern was relating to issues only waiting for feedback to reviewers to close

<PWinstanley> https://‌www.w3.org/‌2019/‌03/‌12-dxwg-minutes

<plh> +1

Proposed: approve minutes of last meeting

<roba> +1

<annette_g> +1

<kcoyle> +1

+0 (not here

<DaveBrowning> +1

<annette_g> I think those decisions were in a chairs meeting

Simon: the minutes were not very informative wrt process, I had to go back to the agenda.

<PWinstanley> +1

ncar: I was there, I would need to be put on

SimonCox: the concern is about the communication on decisions, how they were made.

<roba> decisions were all made behind closed doors - so wont be minutes

SimonCox: the process discussion were not announced in emails.

PWinstanley: apologies for this

<ncar> +0 - I was there but am listed incorrectly as a regret

<SimonCox> Retrospective apologies for not having been present last week.

Resolved: approved minutes of last call https://‌www.w3.org/‌2019/‌03/‌12-dxwg-minutes

Resolved: approved minutes of last call https://‌www.w3.org/‌2019/‌03/‌19-dxwg-minutes

<ncar> +1 - I am correctly listed

Call times

<annette_g> +1 for 20:00 UTC

<kcoyle> +1

<DaveBrowning> +1

<PWinstanley> +1

<ncar> +0 (I don't mind)

-1 but if profiles is not on the table then I can attend fewer meetings

PRs

<roba> PRs dont need to reflect a decision - they are necessary just to reference open issues correctly

<ncar> * I'm not switching!

<ncar> * Always +10 here

kcoyle: about time, both Europe and Australia are going to switch next week so the times will remain the same

DaveBrowning: About PR 825, the conversation should continue

PWinstanley: we need to know when we can close issues

DaveBrowning: should we list issues next to PRs?

PWinstanley: yes it would be great
… so that we can close the many issues that are around
… Now can we push forward with the PRs?

<PWinstanley> acn ncar

<PWinstanley> antoine: I am not against the merge of PR 841, but I want to keep issue #642 open

roba: please make sure that issues are correct. there's an issue polluted
… and we've created new ones

Actions

PWinstanley: the subgroups need to take care of them

Feedback

PWinstanley: these sheets need to be updated
… so that we can report on the discussions we've had

DCAT

DaveBrowning: work has been done in the last week
… we've not assessed how far we are from the end (the issues critical for the CR)
… if some people think the list misses anything please add it

Conneg

<SimonCox> DCAT: 12 open PRs https://‌github.com/‌w3c/‌dxwg/‌pulls?q=is%3Apr+is%3Aopen+label%3Adcat+sort%3Aupdated-desc

ncar: we're pretty close to a 2nd PWD
… annette_g says there's a couple of issues are outstanding
… the rhythm of feedback is slowing down

<annette_g> There is one substantial one, that would alter about half the content.

ncar: there are some dependencies on PROF

<SimonCox> DCAT: 9 of the 12 open PRs are 'approved' though one has ongoing discussion

ncar: one could be solved by removing a function

<SimonCox> ... i.e. ready for merge

ncar: we could put this on the agenda

SimonCox: there are 12 PRs on DCAT, 9 of them are approved
… do we require a plenary vote for merging them?

PWinstanley: we're removing this requirement, but please put the PRs into the table (agenda) and the issues next to them.

SimonCox: the link I've posted above does this

PWinstanley: we still want the two reviews

alejandra: if we go back to the process we had, agreed by the WG at the beginning, it's alright
… but sharing PR is not possible after they're merged

PWinstanley: what we're after is a consolidated view of what's happening every week.

<alejandra> so closing issues needs to wait until the plenary?

<SimonCox> this link https://‌github.com/‌w3c/‌dxwg/‌pulls?q=is%3Apr+is%3Aclosed+label%3Adcat+sort%3Aupdated-desc shows the recently merged PRs for DCAT

<kcoyle> Alejandra, good question. let's figure that out

<alejandra> we had it totally figured out until recently

<alejandra> as a WG

<alejandra> with consensus

<Zakim> SimonCox, you wanted to suggest that the issue with profiles vocabulary is not to 'shape it properly' but to 'reach consensus' (which is less value-laden)
