Admin

PROPOSED: approve minutes of March 6

<LarsG> +0 (wasn't there...)

<PWinstanley> +1

<Jaroslav_Pullmann> +1

Resolved: approve minutes of March 6

PWinstanley: need to decide soon about f2f3

More Admin

<Jaroslav_Pullmann> o.k. this is the same time we have now

PWinstanley: there is a small time poll, since there are only a few choices

PWinstanley: either 6am Australia, or late in CET

<roba> * link for poll ?

Jaroslav_Pullmann: 11-midnight hard, but what about bi-weekly?

<PWinstanley> https://‌doodle.com/‌poll/‌duqqsivqc66wmmb7

<SimonCox> I'm in a noisy Cafe so muted

PWinstanley: we are planning on every 2 weeks beginning in April; heavy workload with subgroups,so we need to make this as easy as possible
… we need to figure out a time ASAP

OPEN action items

PWinstanley: close 91

larsG: ACTION-81 Lars has created text, being reviewed by other editors

PWinstanley: let's close that action

<PWinstanley> https://‌www.w3.org/‌2017/‌dxwg/‌track/‌actions/‌open

kcoyle: 81 and 91 closed now

PWinstanley: 82 is done

PWinstanley: rob will report on 88-89 next meeting

Jaroslav_Pullmann: has drafted response, in notes area of action

(that was action-90)

PWinstanley: new use cases 161, 162 from Alexiev

PWinstanley: need a summary of github thread to make decision clear

<roba> issue #161

Jaroslav_Pullmann: editors can summarize this; it's complex because it is the relationship between dcat and dq
… can discuss on dcat telecon tomorrow

<Jaroslav_Pullmann> there is no sound ..?

<roba> * seem to have lost audio..

<roba> * heard karen!

SimonCox: is figuring out how DCAT can manage external vocabs a use case? what is the nature of this use case?
… can DCAT use components from other vocabs? that seems to be a meta issue
… need a rich way to describe sizes of datasets, but this is not that use case

<SimonCox> The issue was about data set size & also size of subsets

<SimonCox> Those are important requirements

roba: the use case has two parts: what sorts of entities are included? and what is the size?
… what types of data is a definite use case; using other vocabularies should be a given?

<SimonCox> Whether the solution is to use existing vocabs is downstream question

<SimonCox> But the UC (perhaps refined, perhaps two of them) needs to be put on the stack

PWinstanley_: we need a distillation of the actual issues with both of these so we can decide whether to add them to the ucr document

<SimonCox> Action is be on UC editors to add these to the current document

<trackbot> Created ACTION-93 - Be on uc editors to add these to the current document [on Ingo Simonis - due 2018-03-20].

<SimonCox> Yikes, zakim too clever

PWinstanley_: needs a terse proposal since these are very meaty; it needs to be something testable

Jaroslav_Pullmann: ucr group will bring these to plenary for decision

<SimonCox> Alexei did construct the UC in a UC template - start with that surely

REPORT OF DCAT subgroup

<roba> will be travelling to europe next week - can try to do edit on the plane if we have finished discussions by Sat.

SimonCox: having productive meetings although not closing as many issues as hoped; will need to look at some topics here
… small group working of licenses and rights
… there is now an editor's draft, ready for FPWD with areas marked as undergoing discussion
… now have four separate RDF 'artifacts' in document area
… also struggling with timing of telecons; DCAT subgroup is in Boston time.

PWinstanley_: good progress is being made by the group and things are on schedule

<SimonCox> Now leaving

profile negotiation group

LarsG: Nothing at this time

PWinstanley_: what would help speed things along?

LarsG: everyone in the group is busy. (group is Lars, Ruben and Rob)

PWinstanley_: should we try to add someone else to the group?

LarsG: not sure at this time

roba: core of the work was the draft; not sure what I could do although email may help

<Zakim> LarsG, you wanted to talk about moving the FPWD

kcoyle: what could we discuss at f2f that would help?

LarsG: the FPWD will not be at the end of this month; no idea for a new milestone

roba: issue of what a profile is and negotiation can be decoupled because conneg use may be lightweight
… what a profile is could be a discussion for the DCAT group

PWinstanley_: over next few weeks need to develop new milestones, approach so that we have a new schedule; chip away from different angles
… FPWD gives folks a sense of direction, highlights issues that need resolving

Jaroslav_Pullmann: added to f2f offer to help close to Cologne (right, Jaro?)

PWinstanley_: reminder to fill in time poll for future meetings

<Jaroslav_Pullmann> thank you, bye!

<LarsG> bye all
