JS: Léonie didn't find anything of note.
... There was something in the security section that caught my attention.
... Would be good to have a tracker to mark specs as relevant to our discussions about accessibility impact statements.

<MichaelC> issue: Specs that have good horizontal review sections that we might use for our own

<trackbot> Created ISSUE-1002 - Specs that have good horizontal review sections that we might use for our own. Please complete additional details at <http://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/track/issues/1002/edit>.

action-2149?

<trackbot> action-2149 -- Janina Sajka to Review web of things (wot) thing description -- due 2017-11-01 -- OPEN

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/track/actions/2149

LW: Think the API is missing the ability to query the state of an WoT Thing.
... Quickly checked the Thing Description spec also, but couldn't find anything.

JS: The Thing Description may need some more descriptors.
... Of data we'd want exposed.
... Need to look at what other things a Thing might expose.

LW: One of my coleagues who is on the WoT WG suggested it might be worth looking at how WoT Things communicate with ATs.
... I'm not sure that's needed because ATs communicate with the UI layer, not the JS and/or protocol layer.
... Worth thinking about generally though perhaps.

JS: Yes.

MC: The W4A conference will focus on WoT/IoT in 2018.
... Shadi is working on a paper.
... Hopefully one of us wil be able to attend.

LW: TPG isn't likely to be there this year unfortunately.

<MichaelC> http://www.w4a.info/2018/

MC: Papers are due by 17th Jan, and the conference is 23rd and 24th April in Lyon.

new on TR http://www.w3.org/TR/tr-status-drafts.html

MC: Most things on /TR are republications.
... CSS Animations Level 1

<MichaelC> CSS Animations Level 1

MC: Last published in 2013.
... Think we reviewed it then, but that predates our tracking sstem.

<MichaelC> Previous PF review

MC: Found a preliminary review from PF

JS: Was there follow up?

MC: There was a message, yes.
... It included some initial responses, but not sure we followed up.

<MichaelC> initial reply to PF comment on CSS animations

MC: Concerns related to ability to start/stop/pause animations.
... The need for a "killswitch".
... We should pick up on this.

JS: Assign this to Ian for action by the TF.

... Last published in 2013.

<MichaelC> Dataset Exchange Use Cases and Requirements

JS: Don't think we need to review.

MC: Payment Method Manifest.

<MichaelC> Payment Method Manifest

MC: Don't think we need to review this one.

JS: No.

MC: The first section describes modifications to the Web Payment Requests API.
... Perhaps we should check that spec to make sure the Manifest spec doesn't break anything?

JS: Yes, we could do that.

MC: Web Authentication 1
... We already have this one on our radar.

Other Business

JS: I have none.
