Agenda

colin: would give updates from tpac

kaz: also we can explain the github repo move idea
... I'm asking Chris Needham to make an announcement

colin: access permission?

kaz: will create an editors group for you all
... and give write permission to that group for the cloud browser area

colin: makes sense

TPAC summary

TPAC minutes (Cloud Browser TF session)

colin: can summarize the session
... but would make more sense to have Alexandra as well
... discussed how to continue the work of this TF

chris: difficulty with the audio
... there were many topics

colin: the M&E IG could have more TFs for various topics

chris: discussion with the second screen group
... captions, etc., for the second screen
... for accessibility
... somebody from Google

colin: we could explore the possibility of cloud browser for second screen

kaz: combination of second screen and cloud browser is interesting
... maybe the japanese guys also provided some idea of combining second screen mechanism and server/client mechanism based on their hybridcast technology

colin: most people have a bit different mind set from cloud browser

chris: agree
... wondering if it would make sense to get TAG involved

colin: make sense to involve them
... that's one of my own suggestions as well

kaz: another possibility is collaboration with the WoT WG
... cloud browser as part of the WoT architecture

colin: interesting
... the cloud browser could work with any other architectures, e.g., WoT

https://www.w3.org/2017/11/wot-f2f/slides/08-security/WoT-PlugFest.3.png

kaz: cloud browser could be a servient in this diagram
... WoT interface doesn't care about the inside mechanism

colin: that's similar to the cloud browser architecture
... would like to see the details of the WoT Architecture
... proof of concept like plugfest is interesting
... anything else for today?

all: no

chris: btw, what should be the next step?
... do we want to try proof of concept like plugfest?

colin: that's an interesting idea
... but need to check within my company

kaz: it would be great if we could have several cloud browser implementations
... and see if they could work with each other

colin: yes
... next call in 2 weeks?

all: yes

colin: that's Dec. 12

kaz: fyi for Chris, there was some discussion about "accessibility for WoT" during the WoT f2f

https://www.w3.org/2017/11/04-08-wot-minutes.html#nov6-item07

kaz: accessibility would be very important for WoT

chris: yes

colin: same as the cloud browser

chris: indeed
... at the moment, it's quite high-level picture
... we should focus on the gateway for devices to provide accessibility

colin: that's a new perspective

(some more discussion on accessibility)
