<angelo> JeffH hasn't had time to work on 498

<angelo> 539 is ongoing

Rolf will take this up this week

https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/pull/544

<jeffh> angelo: wondering about how to handle user switching tabs

<jeffh> jcj_moz: <relates how they handle in FF>

<jeffh> angelo: there's the new abort feature in the DOM, as far as he knows, FF implements it

<jeffh> ... talked with akshay and it is difficult to avoid race conditions in edge+windows

<jeffh> ... will be different for every platform+browser

<jeffh> gmandyam: will this work the same if we ever enable webauthn with service workers?

<jeffh> jcj_moz: will be different -- they dont get backgrounded. with tabs they are checking visibility, but svc wkrs dont have that notion...... but 'visibility' is always visible (?) so might just work....

JC: Tab switch will need a special case for service workers

<jeffh> angelo: one of the dom events might help.... tho a document might be in a iframe, checking visibility might affect performance....

<jcj_moz> fwiw, https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/f7a53ff2f8cb is the Firefox implementation

<jeffh> angelo will revise PR #544

<jcj_moz> link: https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+milestone%3AWD-07

<jeffh> thanks jcj_moz

<jeffh> that is the view I was obtaining and that Tony was not seeing for some reason....

<jeffh> topic link?

#125?

authenticator nonce portion of PR #539 -- https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/pull/539

<jeffh> angelo: raising the procedural issues of not having us discuss the protocol details here in W3C

<jeffh> rolf: notes that the assertion format is defined in the webauthn spec, and the ctap spec is only about the transport protocols between authnrs and the platform

tony. send issue to the list

no.

no

540 editorial.

Angelo will create a PR

jeffH: this also needs to get addressed in CTAP spec also

<jeffh> gmandyam: wondering about the "cancel operation" issues -- and promises cannont be aborted in ecmascript, how are we doing this?

Tony: there are still some issues we need to call through for CR

<jeffh> angelo: see the PR#544, it is a new DOM feature...

tony: we left off at 184. I am now on CR issues right now

<WD07> https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/milestone/3

https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/milestone/3

#204

https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/204\

also related to #184

tony: is there still a concern here? we;ll leave it on the list for now
... i'll update it.

#210 everyone will review.

#217

https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/217

jeffH is looking at this.

https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/227

jeffH: i need to eval. to see if it is still a problem

Giri says he will look at this issue. based on my understanding, the user agent are going to drop this extension in initial releases

gmandyam: this is my assumption going into creating a proposal

angleo: I agree.

#231

https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/231

tony is this still valid>

angelo: i don't think so. tony will assign to angelo to close

https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/233

jeffH this is valid and we still need to address it. right now authN data in a table.

jeffH: this items need to be named?
... I believe cleanup is needed here.

tony: I believe #248 is no longer valid.

JeffH: let me add it to my list. He will close it if it is no longer valid.

https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/257

will be closed

topic #280 https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/280

jeffH: our language is confusing in places, needs to clarify. worth looking into

#294

jeffH; same

topic #296

jeffH we need to explain things can be managed by an authenticator
