dezell: Happy new year!
See david's IG 2017 email => https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webpayments-ig/2017Jan/0013.html
dezell: That was my start-of-year
recap of what's going on now and how we are shaping next
activities for the IG
... Our focus in IG meetings will be (for now) regulatory
landscape and vision. For work that has moved to other groups
(WG, CG), we'll have periodic check-ins only but the main
conversation will happen in those groups
jyrossi: Regarding the regulatory
landscape task force, apologies for the slow start. I would
like to organize a kick-off meeting for a task force this week,
including Max, David, Ian, Kris, ...and whoever else would like
to join
... I will reach out to Ian re: scheduling and logistics.

<dezell> Ian: sent logistics for 3 calls this month.
<dezell> Ian: goal is to formulate how the TF will spend the first few months of the year.
<dezell> Ian: one component is the charter for the IG which expires in October 2017 - it's not too early to consider a new charter.
<dezell> Ian: also, how do we align with actual work in the WG.
<dezell> Ian: and finally, how do we better engage project management.
dezell: This is an important
activity.
... finding the right work, how to support our work (e.g.,
meeting schedule)
<jheuer> jheuer would like to participate in the vision TF. Dates are really bad... have to miss the first call, 19th should work, 26th will be hard...
Next Digital Offers CG call is today at noon ET (see agenda, logistics)
dezell: Proposed 1-day meeting just before the WPWG meeting in Chicago
wpwg FTF meeting page => https://github.com/w3c/webpayments/wiki/FTF-March2017
dezell: Lots of 'yes" responses to query about FTF meeting
<jheuer> jheuer won't be able to attend the F2F in the windy city, alas!
IJ: Meeting space for WPWG is called 1871
<dezell> Ian: we have space at "1871". I'll be visiting the space this week. It's about $1000 a day for the space.
<dezell> Ian: but we need an agenda for the meeting to justify the travel.
<dezell> Ian: IETF meets the following week. We may have guests from that meeting.
IJ: Who is available for 22 March meeting? What should be on our agenda?
(IJ notes that Vision will have info for the meeting)
dezell: regulatory landscape as
well
... Are there any scheduling issues?
ltoth: I can make it to Chicago
(Linda++)
ltoth: If people can make it, it would be great to allocate part of a trip to digital offers FTF
dezell: Regarding meeting space, there may be alternatives
IJ: Would people like to meet in Chicago on 22 March?
(jheuer would not be able to)
<dezell> +1
<jyrossi> +1
<kriske> +1
<scribe> ACTION: Dezell to investigate meeting space for 22 March in Chicago [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2017/01/09-wpay-minutes.html#action01]
<trackbot> Created ACTION-189 - Investigate meeting space for 22 march in chicago [on David Ezell - due 2017-01-16].
<dezell> Ian: I guess we'll have 20 -25 people. We might press for guests from Chicago as well
23 January
<jheuer> jheuer regrets for 23rd
dezell: HNY!
