James calls meeting to order.

James: Today is a normal meeting. End of November Sprint call will be on December 14th.
... We will use this meeting to also reconnect and get back up to speed since we have been away for so long.

Eric: Can we give people a general update from EOWG November face to face.

James: Discussed design with the group. Updated Alicia on the discussion.
... Did card sorting activity for IA. Gave that information to Charlotte.

Eric: Came up with the four big buckets for our information architecture (Implement, Understand, Advocate, Participate). Good stuff happened, got a lot of work done.

Sharron: Agree, good work. Card Sort activity really helped.

<yatil> James++ for mad excel skillz!

James: The four categories for AI ended up being Implement, Understand, Advocate, Participate. These may change in the future if needed. This will really help structure the content.

Charlotte: Thank you for doing that activity. Saves me a lot of time.

James: Anything else about the face to face?

Sharron: We delivered a good session at the conference, walking through the WAI site. Very rewarding when you hear people talk about liking and needing the resources that were presented.

Shawn: Also, it was interesting hearing people talk about how they have been using the resources for a long time. Also interesting to hear "how" people are using the resources. The feedback is important to hear.

Current Sprint Tasks

James: Merged our November and December sprint into one sprint, due to holidays.

Visual Design

Alicia: Received feedback from the face to face meeting. Going to work with Charlotte on what comes out of the AI work to see how that might impact visual design.

James: Can we work towards AI and visual design planning done by January. Hand off to Eric for him to implement so that we can wrap these up in first quarter.

Shawn: Can we do some work on Page Types while Alicia is waiting for working with Charlotte?

Alicia: There are some smaller individual elements that I can work on while waiting for Charlotte.
... Not much else needed from the TF at this time. Maybe some work on icon sets that can be used on pages.

<Zakim> shawn, you wanted to ask about iconography

Shawn: Yes, we liked the icons that you had in the demo. We can assist with ideas and feedback on icons. I will send links for some existing ones to help with examples.

James: Do we want to define an icon set and bring that to Alicia? or do we need to meet up front to talk about it together and then do the work. Would like to define the icons needed by the end of the sprint.
... I have created a "Define Icon Set" Epic. Need to consider page types and add any icons you think we need for the set.
... Revisit this next week, starting with the buckets: Implement, Understand, Advocate, Participate, and maybe Technical Documentation.
... We also have the understanding that these are not in stone and can change, but they are the general buckets that we will consider.

Sharron: There was a suggestion by someone at the conference that Implement would be better if it was named Create.

James: Add these issues and ideas to this issue (#30) over the next week.

Shawn: Do this in a Wiki page or GetHub?

James: We will do this on the Wiki.

Shawn added the wiki link into the github issue (#30).

Expand / Collapse Functionality

Eric: Not sure if I will get to it in this sprint. Let's wait and see. Don't move it to next sprint yet.

Smart Search

Sharron: Laura, will your contact be able to help with this?

Laura: Not sure. I can try to reach out to them again to see.

James: Remember to add content to the icon wiki page.
... Meeting is adjourned.

<yatil> trackbot, end meeting
