Jemma asked to go first as she has to leave early

issue 120: Clarify focus movement when a menuitem in a menubar is activated https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/120

<jongund> Sorry I am at an airport and ready to get on a plane, so regrets for today

<mck> https://rawgit.com/w3c/aria-practices/menuKeyboardOption2/aria-practices.html#menu

<mck> http://w3c.github.io/aria-practices/examples/menubar/menubar-1/menubar-1.html

@Michiel: there is a call and JamesN is currently scribe

<jamesn> <discussing Issue 120)

Discussion about Issue 120

MK: test language in new branch

<jamesn> MK: need to look at the language of the branch - provide comments after reading it

<jamesn> MK: language not normative - it is ok to be hybrid of platforms.. designed to be flexible

Issue 67: Develop example Accordion https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/67

Issue 144: Review editor menubar example (menubar-2.html) https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/144

<jamesn> & Issue 145

<jamesn> MK: I did 1 thing on the example referenced by 145 - modified the HTML to match the multiple example template

<jamesn> did't change the keyboard section - there are 2 tables which is ok

James: I can scribe now...

<jamesn> left the roles/properties states and tabindex szectioon in the document

<jamesn> hoping you can make the same update to the other exmaple page

MK: asking Jemma to make same changes to HTML in 144

AA: making editoral changes to example pages?

MK: 145 is ready for editorial review
... incomplete table in 145

<jemma> https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/commit/6a24c6cb196fe90cba27702603d881377e655ecd

MK: advises Jemma look at listbox table
... make mythical a horizontal bar?

Jemma; would look at it

JN: Matt- have you ever seen a vertical menu bar?

Bryan: only allowing when enter/space do same thing and arrow keys something else
... and container shouldn't matter

MK: make example and can figure out what words to put around it

Issue 67: Develop example Accordion https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/67

<jemma> ok I will see what I can do

JN: file should look cleaner and removed complex, unnecessary code
... still a bunch of stuff remaining

MK: MK: needs to have example where moving via arrow moves to next heading

JN: thinks we have enough for now and move that into separate issue for next APG

MK: Bryan - willing to complete template?

Bryan: will look at it

MK: just to fill in empty blanks after making changes and will send Bryan links to exact file.

Issue 114: Issues with tabs widget code example https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/114

MB: fixed all issues, looked into Bryan's comments but couldn't find, tested with Win10/IE11. So is tested. Will be adding focus for next week.

Issue 122: Draft listbox design pattern https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/122

<mck> http://w3c.github.io/aria-practices/#Listbox

MK: review carefully and make comments in issue

Issue 131: Draft tree view design pattern https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/131

MK: tricky technical issue in this one

<mck> https://rawgit.com/w3c/aria-practices/issue131/aria-practices.html#TreeView

MK: did lots of editorial clean-up but ran into one issue
... treeview item is parent and can have children, spec sounds like children must be contained/owned by parent.
... using group
... spec doesn't call for same for menu
... JN - if grouping is missing, users don't get posinset, setsize, etc

<jamesn> "Each element with role treeitem that serves as a parent node has either aria-label or aria-labelledby set to specify a label. Otherwise, the parent node will be labeled by the text content of all child elements."

MK: added need for aria-label or aria-labelledby on each parent

AA: suggest "to reduce verbosity"

MK: will enhance that bullet
... made separate branch to make comparison easier
... list of 5 notes should be under kbd section

JN: list appears at end of kbd section

MK: data grids is ready for review
... review priority issue 131 treeview, issue 122 listbox, issue 104 data grids, issue 145 navigation menubar, issue 120 menu kbd guidance, issue 67 accordion, tabs example page (if comment, reopen issue 114)
