Introductions

Brent: Welcome Robert Jolly. A round today and please send an email intro to the list
... brief intros from each participant

Meeting schedule

Brent: Be aware of time change in Europe next week, so the meeting will start in Europe an hour earlier and witll sync up again the next week when the US moves to standard time...
... also US holiday on Nov 11 and regrets were high so we will not meet.
... week of Thanksgiving we will not meet on Frid Nov 25th either.

<shawn> Update your availability, please.

RM updates and reports

Brent: Caleb and MaryJo seem to be the ones working most actively. First is the Policies work.
... MJ has been working with several, anyone have updates?

Shawn: Got an inquiry from a person who has just completed a study of accessiiblity policy around the world. Excited to have some help in providing content.

Eric: If you look in the agenda there is a link to the email sent to those who had volunteered to work actively on the tutorials. I have asked for a careful review of the draft tutorials and we have had some comments. If you are interested in helping, please step forward, jump in, help as you have time to do it.

<yatil> https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-eo/2016OctDec/0018.html

Eric: I ask everyone to contribute as you are able. Shadi has suggested some interesting changes to the structure of the tutorials so be aware that there is activity, things are changing all the time. Please speak up with any hives reactions or any other comments or contributions you can make.
... I am expecting feedback from the volunteers by Tuesday so we can meld them and have a stable draft to review within the next few weeks.
... if not comfortable with GitHub, please send to the wai editor's list.
... and I am happy to guide people through the process or we can do another training at the end of a meeting.

<yatil> [FTR: Susan also provided some suggestions]

Caleb: On the Easy Checks, I have had some very thoughtful reviewers, thanks for those catches and suggestions. We have reached consensus this week on the new check. Conclusion is to add another new check about moving content. Shawn gracefully and excellently added a draft for that new check.

Shawn: Can we put the new checks into place so we can make a resolution while looking at it?

Caleb: I will make the pull requests today, we can release for final review and make a resolution next time.

<yatil> +1 to do a final review immediately.

<shawn> fyi https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/wai-eo-editors/2016Oct/0014.html

Brent: OK if you put the new checks in place today, we can add the final review to the survey and the work for this week.

Shawn: aren't there some illustration issues that remain?

Caleb: Getting the images to align is Issue #11. It does not seem to me to be important.

Shawn: What about the illustration table? Can you and I meet briefly to make sure we have resolved all the ducks and gotten them in line?
... my perspective is to put it into the survey to look at the two new checks and then Caleb and I can work on the display cleanup

Brent: To look at the two new checks for feedback?

Shawn: Basically Last Call for content.

Caleb: and the wiki has been updated to reflect all of the activity.

Brent: Thanks Caleb.
... any other resources that need attention - what's been done, what help is needed?
... remember that at any meeting you can report and ask for help.

Planning and Managing Suite

Shadi: Had good input, good collaborative effort and have gotten the resource into good shape - thank you everyone.
... Planning and Managing Suite consists of three documents, linked from the agenda.
... Planning Guide, Policy Guide and this on, just completed which is the First Aide document for quick repairs. Just completed the third which finalizes the set of three. As far as I know all comments have been addressed - if you feel they have not been, please let me know.
... so I think it is ready for publication.

Brent: We have completed the Thorough Review and are ready for Approval to Publish. It will be on the survey for approval, do not expect any more comments.
... if you feel that your comments have not been addressed, let Shadi know but on the survey we will just do an approval vote.
... Thank you Shadi for the big effort, great work as a team.
