<Lisa_Seeman> agenda: this

<Lisa_Seeman> scribe: maryjom

<Lisa_Seeman> next item

<Lisa_Seeman> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/cognitive-a11y-tf/track/actions/open

<Lisa_Seeman> MichaelC we kind of need you!

LS: Need to get the documents publish-ready.

JK: Distractions issue paper - Was wrestling with "distraction" and how to articulate the issue of advertisements and sponsored content on a website.
... Distractions are external so the user can't easily return back to the same spot in the Web content.

<Lisa_Seeman> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/cognitive-a11y-tf/wiki/Proposal_for_WCAG#Support_is_provided_that_help_users_understand_the_content.2C_that_includes:

<Lisa_Seeman> Non native content and sponsored content are clearly marked and visually differentiated by standardized techniques

LS: Notate where we know we want to make improvements or where we think the topic isn't covered completely yet, requires more work.

<Lisa_Seeman> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/cognitive-a11y-tf/wiki/Open_Issues

<Rich> can’t call in

<Lisa_Seeman> ok

JK: Will have a version ready to publish this week.

LS: Couldn't see Kurt's update to the Online Payments issue paper. Need to talk to Michael Cooper to find out why.

KM: Branched the document, but not sure it was integrated back in properly so others can see the changes.
... The review and update are done, just need to resolve GitHub so others can see it.

MP: Is looking at the ISO cognitive work as it relates to our work. It is a relatively difficult task to map them. Still working on this action item.
... Hopes to have something to share next week.

LS: We don't have people looking at all of the issue papers, so we need more help. We also need to continue working on the tables and need help populating them.

<Lisa_Seeman> https://rawgit.com/w3c/coga/master/gap-analysis/table.html

LS: Table 7 is the prototype.
... We talk about the user and user stories to give context about the table. The first column is the user needs. Second column contains the related WCAG criteria - not the full text, but with a link to expand to see the full text of the criterion.
... The next column is the guidance for content and the techniques we wrote with similar types of expansion links to expand the content or description.
... The fourth column is proposed new semantics for ARIA and any other markup specifications that can be used to support the user need.
... The fifth column has to do with personalization and what types of UI changes can be used to address the user need. The last column would be any other tools, operating system support, related work from non W3C groups, etc. needed.

<Lisa_Seeman> John and kurt both want the specification

General consensus is to use a link to the specification.

MC: If you want to make an edit in the repository, you don't need to fork. Better to make a branch. Fork is a copy of the repository in your own name space, but can cause conflicts if someone else edits off of the main version.
... A branch avoids the potential for editing conflicts.
... A fork is the recommended path for someone who doesn't have commit access to the main repository, but we have it set up that the group can do updates in a branch.

LS: Ayelet said she'll get the short names updated for the bibliography.
... We can either do the clean-up of all of the other issue papers and then start working on the tables or we can do these two things in parallel.

MC: It is probably useful for someone who cleans up the issue paper also does the corresponding table information.

LS: There are some issue papers with no one assigned the task: Flat design, a few of the personalization ones. Rich is doing the semantics paper but there are other ones regarding preferences.
... Provide graded help and metadata support are also papers that need work

MM: Will take on the Flat Design issue paper.

<Lisa_Seeman> ACTION: Maryjom to do the proofing of the flat design issue paper on github. the list on what needs to happen is https://www.w3.org/wai/pf/cognitive-a11y-tf/wiki/pre-publication_checklist. [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2016/04/04-coga-minutes.html#action01]
