Introduction from Lisa - comments from Renaldo and EA

Gap Analysis Introduction

Lisa accepts EA's "suggested tool" change.

Some concern and confusion over the use of the terms preferences and personalization in the intro

<Lisa_Seeman> can we ignor coment The research you are referring to here is most likely exploratory. As such it is not intended to be conclusive, generalizable and prescriptive. It illuminates the situation and highlights areas that require further attention.

<Lisa_Seeman> The issue here could be a lack of empirical work concerned with Web accessibility for persons with cognitive disabilities.

<Lisa_Seeman> i think the issue is use clear writing is not well defined in a testable way

<EA> https://blogs.office.com/2016/01/19/learning-tools-for-onenote-improves-learning-for-all/ proven according to Microsoft!!

<Lisa_Seeman> rest of his coments we ask to be on the call to discuss if they are importend

<Lisa_Seeman> action to give one more review of the intro and send the list for a 48 concensis

<trackbot> Error finding 'to'. You can review and register nicknames at <http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/cognitive-a11y-tf/track/users>.

<Lisa_Seeman> EA's coments are excepted bu the one on porefrences might weight for next version

<Lisa_Seeman> prefrences and persation should be clearly defined

EA comments on preferences will have to be addressed in a later version

Documents going out for review - Summary of Issue Papers and Techniques into Gap Analysis

<Lisa_Seeman> for coneses to add to the gap analisis

<Lisa_Seeman> https://rawgit.com/w3c/coga/master/gap-analysis/table.html

The above for consensus

Consensus was to do summary and sample of user needs

Rich would like to make the gap analysis like a roadmap. Current version getting better.

Rich comments: Editorial stuff needed on user needs - too hard to follow. Should be a proper TF Note.

Lisa: Don't have all the user needs correctly identified. Finalizing it would probably take 3 months.

Rich: OK to have gaps. Need to get this in front of industry. If they see it as "Cognitive Accessibility Roadmap" and have the Gap Analysis in it.

Michael: Replace empty tables with what you have as, say, bullet points.
... Include editorial notes explaining the bits that are to be done later.

Lisa will put together an integrated document with all the bits included.

<Lisa_Seeman> ACTION: lisa to put together an integrated document with all the bits included of gap analisis [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2016/02/01-coga-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-150 - Put together an integrated document with all the bits included of gap analisis [on Lisa Seeman - due 2016-02-08].
