Steven: Mark Seaborne says he will be joining us in the future (but not this week).

Future wish: MIPS in <instance> element

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2016Jan/0021.html

Alain: I think if we adopt your suggestion, we need to wrap the instance with an element

The <script> element and passing parameters

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2016Jan/0023.html

Erik: We have implemented this. It is useful, but we need a way to pass parameters.

<ebruchez> http://doc.orbeon.com/xforms/actions/scripting.html#passing-parameters

<xxf:script>

<xxf:param name="binding" value="xxf:binding('fr-code-mirror')"/>

<xxf:body>

var instance = YAHOO.xbl.fr.CodeMirror.instance(this);

instance.enabled();

instance.xformsValue(binding);

</xxf:body>

</xxf:script>

Steven: What about results?

Erik: Actions don't have results.

Alain: Are there types?

Erik: In our implementation they are all strings.
... partly because we are server-side

Steven: Want to write some text as a proposal?

Erik: Sure

<scribe> ACTION: Erik to write spec text to propose params for script action [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2016/01/27-forms-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-2048 - Write spec text to propose params for script action [on Erik Bruchez - due 2016-02-03].

Erik: Is it wise to call the element "script"?

<ebruchez> <xf:action type="javascript">

Erik: we could use <action>

Alain: I agree that it should be renamed; calling it script makes problems with browsers.

Steven: Sounds reasonable.

ACTION-2026 (secondsfromepoch function)

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2016Jan/0024.html

Erik: I will remove the text "This function is available in the following namespaces:

http://www.w3.org/2002/xforms-functions

http://www.w3.org/2002/xforms", but that is the default anyway

Sections 1-3 (if there's anything else)

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2016Jan/0018.html

Steven: Any new issues?

[None]

Section 4-6 (Expressions, types, MIPS)

https://www.w3.org/community/xformsusers/wiki/XForms_2.0#Expressions_in_XForms

Steven: Any comments?

https://www.w3.org/community/xformsusers/wiki/XForms_2.0#Expressions_in_XForms

Philip: I'm done with 1-3, but haven't completed 4-6 yet

Steven: OK, I'll include it on the agenda for next week

AOB?

[None]

Philip: Regrets for next week
