sosa-core:Platform is a class with an entirely new description (rdfs:comment) of questionable provenance. In intent, it appears to be something like ssn:Device, but, as an alternative to a sensor to make an observation (sse rdfs: comment for observation) makes it different to a Device, as well.

No foundation or source for the term is noted.

A ssn:Platform is a well-documented different concept which is directly attributed to SensorML's use of the same word (see rdfs:comment)
meaning and needs justification.

Related notes:

I do not see a notable difference. In SOSA, we just had to be more explicit with respect to virtual sensors, actuators, and so forth.
